The quick-release connector includes a release button, a lock arm, a lock tab and a cavity configured to receive the tubes and a set of coupler housings. The connector system includes an object fitting having lock recess may be configured to receive the lock tab. The object fitting includes a cavity. The system further includes a set of male coupler housings each including a first unitary valve and a set of female coupler housings each including a second unitary valve. Each female housing is configured to receive and engage one of the male coupler housings. The system includes a set of seals configured to seal each male coupler housing and each female coupler housing when the quick-release connector is connected to the object fitting.

摘要： An apparatus for controlled flow of fluid materials for use with medical accessories has a first housing with a body, a first open end, a second open end, and a hollow interior. The second end fits with a first medical accessory for flow of fluid materials from the first medical accessory. A fluid flow control means is disposed within the housing for controlling the flow of fluid materials through the hollow interior from the first medical accessory. The apparatus also has a second housing with an open end, a first open end, a hollow interior, and a second open end having an axial bore coaxial with the hollow interior of the first housing. The second end of the second housing fits with the first open end of the first housing. The first open end of the second housing fits with a second medical accessory, whereby the second medical accessory receives fluid materials from the first medical accessory by way of the hollow interior of the body.

摘要： An universal medical connector for manually connecting a first fluid conveying conduit in fluid connection with a patient's vasculature and having a junction terminal with a septum at an end thereof to a second fluid conduit for administration of fluid to a patient. The connector is formed of two elements. The first element defines an integral needle hub, to which a needle is mounted, a base extending from the hub, and fingers extending from the base. The second locking element includes a collar with a support and bars extending therefrom so as to be manually slidable along the first element in the direction the needle extends between a retracted and a locking position in which the connector locks onto a junction terminal and the septum penetrated by the needle. The fingers flex at a flexing line or joint or in a flexure region covered by the bars in the retracted position. Detents are provided on the base and on a detent carrier formed by slots extending into the collar. The bars engage cams on the exterior surface of the fingers to flex the fingers. Inner and outer catches are provided on the interior surface of each finger for respectively engaging larger and smaller junction terminals. The catches are configured so that the disengaging force is substantially independent of septum size.

摘要： A drainage catheter system comprising a catheter having an elongate body \configured for insertion into an organ or cavity of a patient and a hub configured for coupling with a longitudinal shearing device and the first end of the catheter and movable over the elongate body of the catheter. A locking stay suture extends through the elongate body of the catheter. The length of the elongate body of the catheter can be adjusted by sliding the hub coupled to the longitudinal shearing device along the longitudinal axis of the catheter, and then creating a longitudinal cut in the catheter through which the proximal end of the locking stay suture can be removed and secured, thereby enabling the excess catheter tubing to be removed by cutting and allowing the base to rest flush against the patient's body.
