    • An umbilical field connect assembly comprising: a first umbilical portion comprising two or more first bundled members chosen from electrical cables, fluid conduits, and optical fibers; a second umbilical portion comprising two or more second bundled members chosen from electrical cables, fluid conduits, and optical fibers; a first housing assembly having a first end coupled to the first umbilical portion and a second end comprising a first coupling plate having a plurality of first couplings chosen from male and female couplings positioned therein, one of the plurality of first couplings being positioned at an end of each of the first bundled members; a second housing assembly having a third end coupled to the second umbilical portion and a fourth end comprising a second coupling plate having a plurality of second couplings chosen from male and female couplings positioned therein, one of the second couplings being positioned at an end of each of the second bundled members.     • A pressure actuated seal carrier assembly includes a seal carrier with a body with an inner and an outer projection that are integral with the body and opposite to one another. An inner groove with a first seal is formed in the inner projection, and an outer groove with a second seal is formed in the outer projection. As pressure enters the cavity, the projections are forced radically outward and inward, which maintains contact with the mating surfaces, thus excluding any no extrusion gaps between the seal carrier and the walls of the pressurized space. A spacer is located in the cavity to maintain space between the grooves and bear the axial load.

    • A cap for a subsea tree having a re-entry hub (1) and for use with a tubing hanger (25) deployed within the tree comprises an outer sleeve (3) for fitment over the hub and an inner sleeve (19) adapted to extend within the hub. The sleeve has communication couplers (27, 37) for cooperation with the tubing hanger. Preferably the communication couplers are located at the extremity of the inner sleeve. The couplers can accommodate dummy plugs or live couplers to suit the mode of application. The inner sleeve (19) supports at least one annular seal (21, 22) which provides a barrier between the inner sleeve and the inner periphery of the hub. The outer sleeve (19) includes releasable engagement fittings (16) for securing the outer sleeve to the hub. The cap is adapted for use as a running tool.

    • A device for the application of a preload between a subsea wellhead and a conductor housing includes an activating member, a support housing, a locking member, and at least one element for securing the support housing relative to the wellhead. Movement of the activating member causes an inclined lateral movement of the locking member. The activating member carries a ratchet having a multiplicity of serrations which have a regular pitch in the activating direction and the support housing carries at least two latches which allow the relative movement and can engage the ratchet to inhibit movement reverse to the activating direction. The discrete locking positions provided by one of the latches are positionally out of phase with the discrete locking positions provided by the other latch or latches. A support member is positioned to be moved laterally in response to movement of the activating member and to support the locking member against the engagement zone of the datum member.
