摘要： An apparatus and method for supporting a handover from a macro Base Station (BS) to a micro BS in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. The apparatus includes a user layer for requesting scanning information on micro BSs among neighbor BSs and an MIH function for obtaining the scanning information on the micro BSs by interoperating with an MIH server according to the request and for transmitting the obtained information to the user layer. Accordingly, the handover from the macro BS to the micro BS can be achieved.

The securing means may include at least one means selected from the group consisting of adhesive tape, an elastically deformable cover, and detachable adhesive. The implement can be further connected to a computer processing system for, amongst other things, the virtual representation of sensed objects. The implement can also be used as part of a method of haptic sensing of objects.

摘要： MAC (Media Access Control) for an EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network system) defined in an IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 802.3ah EFM (Ethernet in the First Mile) standard is implemented using general MAC based on an IEEE 802.3 standard. LLID (Logical Link ID) information is inserted at a predetermined position of a frame outside its preamble and the frame containing the LLID information is transferred to a higher layer so that general MAC can be used as MAC for the EPON system. A physical layer of the EPON system contains LLID information within a preamble and transfers the preamble containing the LLID information. An RS (Reconciliation Sublayer) configures a new Ethernet frame by inserting the LLID information at a predetermined position of the Ethernet frame outside the preamble. The RS transfers the new Ethernet frame to a higher data link layer of the EPON system. The data link layer transfers the new Ethernet frame containing the LLID information.

摘要： Provided is an apparatus and method for performing a vertical handover in a multi-network wireless communication system. In a method for a vertical handover of a user terminal in a wireless communication system, a vertical handover control module selects a target network for a vertical handover using information about neighboring networks obtained from an information service server through an adaptation module. If the target network is different from a serving network, the vertical handover control module requests collection of target network information to a target network interface communicating with the target network through the adaptation module. The target network interface transmits the target network information collected in response to the information collection request to the vertical handover control module. The vertical handover control module determines a target base station using the collected target network information.
