    • A male terminal comprises an electrical contact portion and an insulating member made of insulating material. The electrical contact portion is inserted into and connected to a female terminal. The insulating member includes a to-be-received portion accommodated in the electrical contact portion and a to-be-exposed portion. The electrical contact portion includes a bottom wall upon which the to-be-received portion is disposed, and a top wall. The to-be-received portion is positioned between the bottom wall and the top wall having a securing engagement portion brought into engagement with the to-be-received portion. The male terminal is made by placing the to-be-received portion upon the bottom wall while the bottom wall, the top wall, and the securing engagement portion are flush with each other, bending them such that the to-be-received portion resides between the top wall and the bottom wall, and bringing the securing engagement portion into engagement with the to-be-received portion.

    • A guide wall and a recessed portion for accommodating therein a female-female terminal are formed in a lower case, and in an intermediate plate, a through hole through which an electric connection portion which is in abutment with the guide wall is formed and a guide portion is provided at a lower edge portion of the through hole so formed so as to protrude therefrom so as to be brought into abutment with the electric connection portion, so that the electric connection portion is guided into the through hole. Thus, by inserting the intermediate plate between the upper case and the lower case so as to be held therebetween, the guide portion automatically corrects the bend of the electric connection portion.

    • A bundle of electric wires has a first length and a first diameter. A tubular braided wire has a second length which is shorter than the first length and a second diameter which is larger than the first diameter. The bundle of electric wires is passed through the braided wire, and then a connector is connected to each of both ends of the electric wires collectively. The connector having a third diameter which is larger than the first diameter. The braided wire is stretched such that both ends thereof are fixed on the respective connectors to form a reduced-diameter portion therebetween which is fitted on an outer periphery of the bundle of the electric wire. A conductive retainer is attached on the reduced-diameter portion to maintain a length and a diameter of the reduced-diameter portion.

    • To inspect the conduction of terminals of a connector having a rear terminal holder (65) without damaging the rear terminal holder, the connector (49) to be tested is first fitted to a connector support member (39) of the terminal conduction test jig (33); and then a test body (41) of the terminal conduction test jig is moved toward the connector support member (39) to first engage the rear terminal holder (65) with the connector housing (55) normally and then inspect conduction of the terminals (35) of the connector (49).
