In the image data compressing method, the image input unit performs a prescan, thereby to obtain prescan image data containing pixels smaller in number than those contained in image data of an original image Next, a definition of the original image is estimated on the basis of the prescan image data, thereby to obtain coding parameters for the image data compressing circuit. Then, the image input unit performs a regular scan, thereby to obtain regular scan image data containing all of pixels of the original image data. Finally, the regular scan image data is compressed using the coding parameters previously obtained.

Various cosmetics including makeup cosmetics, o/w emulsion cosmetics, and w/o emulsion cosmetics, are prepared by using the copolymer in combination with (B) a low-viscosity silicone oil, (C) a partially cross-linked organopolysiloxane polymeric compound, (D) a low-boiling-point oil, (E) a volatile solvent, (F) a cosmetic powder material, (G) a polyacrylic acid, (H) a volatile hydrocarbon, (I) a surface active agent, or (J) water. The cosmetic compositions give a good sensation upon use, and exhibit superior water-repellency, water-resistance, oilresistance, and good retentiveness of the makeup.

According to the transmission operating device using control cables of the present invention, a driver can operate the device without feeling a physical disorder, since the selecting operation and the shifting operation can be performed by obeying to the generally used operational form.

摘要： An apparatus for processing an image into binary data is selectively operable with a fixed threshold level and a variable dither threshold level. When a threshold level commmand signal specifies the dither threshold level, a switchover means detects image data read from a character or like black-white image portion on an original document and specific part of a halftone image portion which is approximate in density level to black. The detection output forcibly changes the threshold level command signal from a dither threshold level command to a fixed threshold level command. The dither processing, therefore, occurs only for a minimum necessary halftone image portion in accordance with an image condition on the document.
