摘要： An ink ribbon cartridge to be inserted to and removed from a printer device that prints an image to a printing medium by heating the printing medium with an ink ribbon closely attached thereto. The ink ribbon cartridge includes: a cartridge body provided with a pair of housing sections for housing, with a space therebetween, a pair of spools to be able to freely rotate for winding of the ink ribbon; and a pair of guide sections that are provided on both side surfaces in a direction orthogonal to an insertion/removal direction of the cartridge body, and serving as a guide for insertion to and removal from an ink ribbon cartridge holder provided to the printer device through support by a guide support section formed to the ink ribbon cartridge holder with a cross section of a substantially square bracket shape.

摘要： A recording apparatus according to the present invention has a structure such that recording position of each dot is inverted in one pixel area in such a manner that a direction in which dots of lines in the main scanning direction to be formed on a printing sheet is made to be different from the main scanning direction. Even if the printing sheet feeding apparatus encounters displacement and the position of the printing sheet with respect to a thermal head is displaced, the foregoing structure causes dots to be formed in a zigzag configuration for the lines in the main scanning direction of the printing sheet on which a dot pattern has been formed in accordance with image data so that generation of moire fringes in the main scanning direction is prevented. Since the recording apparatus according to the present invention enables a required printing mode to be selected from a plurality of printing modes for the printing processes for printing yellow, magenta and cyan color components, generation of moire fringes in the main scanning direction can be prevented and change in the hue can be restrained without deterioration in the resolution of the recorded dots even if the position of the magenta dot or the cyan dot is displaced with respect to the position of the yellow dot.

摘要： A color printer is provided in which a paper sheet is wrapped about a rotatable platen and three colors are printed on the sheet, to obtain an image, by a thermal head and a color ribbon during three rotations of the platen. In a paper feeding device for the printer, a sheet of paper is fed by a feeding roller, from the bottom of a stack of paper sheets in a paper tray through, a feeding guide to the platen. The tray has an opening in its bottom plate so as to expose the lowermost paper sheet stored therein. The feeding roller is provided under the tray and lifts up toward the opening of the tray so as to come in engagement with the lowermost paper sheet, the feeding roller rotating to feed it to the platen. The width of the platen is less than that of the sheet and the circumference thereof is less than the length of the sheet. Therefore, when the sheet is wrapped about the platen, it extends laterally outward from the ends thereof, and its ends overlap. Accordingly, during printing, the sheet is securely wrapped about the platen and its position does not shift and the extension of the sheet from the edges of the platen allows a sensor to determine a print starting position by sensing a mark of the edge of the sheet. Thus, a fixed print starting position is obtained during all three rotations of the platen during the print cycle.

摘要： An ink ribbon cartridge for a printing apparatus, in which two reels for the supply and take-up of a ink ribbon are rotatably mounted, incorporates a cartridge body and cover in which support sections for retaining the ends of the reels are provided. At an end of the cartridge, leaf springs are included which apply a constant frictional force to the reel hubs to prevent unwanted rotation of the reels. Therefore unwanted slackening of the ribbon is prevented, whether or not the printing apparatus is engaged in a printing operation.
