    • An optical disc recording/reproducing apparatus includes: recording/reproducing means for recording/reproducing information by emitting a light beam onto a disc having a track which wobbles at a predetermined frequency; reflected light detection means for detecting the light beam reflected from the disc; wobble signal detection means for detecting a wobble amplitude signal which represents an amplitude of a signal generated from a component which is extracted from an output of the reflected light detection means and which wobbles at the predetermined frequency; and variation rate detection means for detecting dirt adhered on the disc based on a rate of a variation in the wobble amplitude signal, wherein the variation rate detection means detects the dirt based on the wobble amplitude signal before the recording/reproducing means records/reproduces the information.

    • The invention is intended to provide a small and highly reliable pressure sensor, which has a smaller number of components and can be produced by using a mold for resin molding in common. A sensor unit (11) is molded with resin and includes a semiconductor chip (1) for converting the change in pressure of a medium introduced through an introduction hole for measurement into an electric signal. A lead member (12) has one end exposed in a connector (23) and is electrically connected to the semiconductor chip (1) in the sensor unit (11) beforehand. Pressure is applied to the semiconductor chip (1) through a pipe (22). An outer case (21) is integrally formed of synthetic resin by insert molding of the sensor unit (11), the lead member (12) and the pipe (22).

    • To provide a sensor mounting structure which enables mounting an automotive sensor directly to the wall section of a part to be detected, without using screws, and also mounting a pressure detector directly to a pressure air passage without using a pressure inlet pipe. The non-circular sensor mounting hole is provided for inserting a part of the sensor housing into the wall section of the part to be detected. In the sensor housing the first locking portion (pawl) and the second locking portion (flange) are integrally formed by molding. The housing 1 is allowed to be inserted into the mounting hole under the condition that the pawl is directed to a specific orientation, and, after insertion, is turned through a specific angle. Therefore the pawl is engaged on the inside surface of the wall section. The flange is engaged on the outside surface of the wall section. The pawl and the flange are designed to hold the wall section of the part to be detected, thereby mounting the sensor. The projection of the hook is engaged with the recess provided in the sensor housing 1, thus locking the sensor from turning.

    • A circuit for protecting a load from an overvoltage can be integrated together with the load on the same chip by an MOS transistor manufacture process. This overvoltage protecting circuit is composed of a surge protection circuit, an overvoltage detecting circuit and a switching circuit. The surge protection circuit including two MOS transistors operates so that a surge voltage applied to a power supply receiving terminal is clamped by virtue of the source-drain breakdown voltage of the two MOS transistors, thereby absorbing the surge energy. The overvoltage detecting circuit including two MOS transistors operates so that a DC voltage supplied from the surge protection circuit is monitored with the source-drain voltage of the two MOS transistors taken as a reference voltage, thereby detecting an overvoltage. An overvoltage detection output brings an MOS transistor of the switching circuit into a turned-off condition to protect the load.
