摘要： A polycarbonate lubricating oil composition which is resistant to decomposition of the polycarbonate and the generation of carbon dioxide gas. The lubricating oil composition contains a polycarbonate lubricant, at least one compound selected from the group of epoxy compound, phenol compound, sulfur compound and amine compound, and optionally a triester phosphite or a triester phosphate compound as inhibitors to the generation of carbon dioxide gas. The lubricating oil composition are stable, have excellent lubricating properties, cleaning properties, and electrical insulating properties, and their viscosity at low temperature can readily be lowered.

摘要： A noise removing filter removes noise from an input image and an edge component extracting unit extracts edge components. The edge components are extracted by calculating a difference between the input image and a smoothed image, which is obtained by smoothing the input image in a smoothed image generating portion. An edge component comparing unit compares the extracted edge components with a threshold value and a sum calculating unit calculates the sum of the edge components greater than the threshold value. A control circuit determines the enhancement degree of the edges based on the sum and averaged luminance of the input image calculated by an average luminance calculating unit. An enhancement degree adjustment unit adjusts the determined enhancement degree, and an edge component enhancement unit enhances the edge components based on this enhancement degree and adds it to the input image to perform edge enhancement processing.

摘要： A switch to be used mainly for controlling a variety of electronic devices in automobiles, and a method of manufacturing the same switch are disclosed for providing a switch free from positional deviation in its display section and easy to manufacture. Operating units having no display sections are mounted to a housing, then the shapes of each one of the operating units are recognized by a control circuit. An upper jig and a lower jig are moved for a laser beam device to remove a non-translucent section and expose parts of a translucent section, thereby forming the display sections. This structure allows eliminating positional deviation of the display sections and also requiring no visual checks done for confirming the display sections in manufacturing.

摘要： A hydraulic stroking device that performs stroking action by adjusting a pressure of hydraulic fluid in a fluid chamber is disclosed. The hydraulic device includes a hydraulic piston, a sealing member, and a variable sealing performance mechanism. The piston is provided in a fluid chamber, and receives the pressure of hydraulic fluid and is moved by the pressure. The sealing member seals between a circumferential surface of the piston and an inner surface of the fluid chamber. When the piston is not moving with the hydraulic fluid being pressurized, the variable sealing performance mechanism enhances the sealing performance of the sealing member compared to the sealing performance in a state when the piston is being moved.

摘要： A propylene block copolymer, a process for preparation of the propylene block copolymer, and a propylene resin composition comprising the propylene block copolymer. The propylene block copolymer comprises (a) from 35 to 95% by weight of a polypropylene block and (b) from 10 to 65% by weight of a block of a copolymer of a propylene and other .alpha.-olefins, the propylene block copolymer having: (i) in a crystallization temperature curve determined by a differential scanning calorimeter, besides a main peak, secondary peaks in a temperature range of from 90.degree. to 100.degree. C., and a proportion of the area of the secondary peaks to that of a main peak of from 1.5 to 10%; and (ii) a relationship between an amount of a soluble content on xylene extraction at 25.degree. C. and a proportion of the area of the secondary peaks to that of the main peak represented by equation (I): 0.1X.sub.IS -1.ltoreq.SMA (I) wherein X.sub.IS represents an amount of a soluble content on xylene extraction at 25.degree. C. in terms of percent by weight; and SMA represents a proportion of the area of the secondary peaks to that of the main peak in terms of percent.
