    • In a manufacturing method for construction machine according to the present invention, an oil supply port of a fuel tank is disposed near an inner periphery-side guard panel as a standard which is mounted on an innermost periphery side, and in case of mounting the inner periphery-side guard panel, the same guard panel is mounted so that an opening formed in a side wall of the guard panel and the oil supply port are made corresponding to each other, while in case of mounting an outer periphery-side guard panel disposed outside the inner periphery-side guard panel, a depressed portion is formed in a side wall of the outer periphery-side guard panel in accordance with the spacing between the side wall of the outer periphery-side guard panel and the oil supply port, and the outer periphery-side guard panel is mounted so that an opening formed in the depressed portion and the oil supply port are made corresponding to each other. Even in the case where the mounting position of a guard panel changes depending on specifications, the oil supply port can always be positioned near a side wall of the guard panel.

    • An apparatus for insertion of a key therein substantially prevents foreign matter from entering into a key insertion hole, and even if foreign matter does enter into the key insertion hole, discharges the foreign matter therefrom. A shutter is provided within the key insertion hole so as to be movable along a direction of insertion of a key. The shutter is always urged by a compression coil spring toward an opening of the insertion hole. In a state in which no key is inserted in the insertion hole, the shutter is urged by the compression coil spring and closes the insertion hole. As a result, foreign matter such as dust or the like can be prevented from entering into the insertion hole. Further, the shutter is provided with a reflecting surface, and when no key is inserted in the insertion hole, the reflecting surface reflects light from a light source so as to illuminate the opening of the insertion hole. Thus, even if a region surrounding the opening of the insertion hole is dark, the opening can be visually confirmed and the key can be easily inserted into the insertion hole.

    • A system for controlling the movement of carriages in a conveyor system is disclosed in which individually powered carriages are controlled so as to stop a carriage at a designated position on the conveyor rail. Electrical contact wires extend along the conveyor rail and are electrically connected to controller units on each of the carriages by electrical contacts sliding along the electrical contact wires. Certain ones of the electrical contact wires have electrical discontinuities which define boundaries of first and second zones. The electrical discontinuities form a normally open electrical circuit with the controller units of each of the carriages, thereby keeping such controller units in the inoperative or "off" position. In this position of the controller unit, the power unit of each of the individual carriages drives the carriage along the conveyor rail. When the electrical circuit of the electrical contact wires is completed in a first zone, such as by the presence of a stopped carriage or other obstruction, the controller unit of a carriage entering the adjacent second zone will be actuated by this completed electrical circuit and will stop the carriage before it encounters the stopped carriage or other obstruction.
