    • There is provided a synthetic resin bottle having high commercial value, which prevents plastic deformation accompanied with buckling. The invention provides a PET bottle comprising a body portion connected to a mouth portion via a shoulder portion, and a constricted portion provided on the body portion and looping along the circumferential direction. The body portion comprises a front wall and a back wall which face to each other, a left sidewall and a right sidewall which face to each other, and connecting portion which respectively join the walls. The cross section of the body portion along the circumferential direction a generally polygonal outer profile. The constricted portion comprises left lateral grooves extending from the left sidewall at least to the connecting portion along the circumferential direction, right lateral grooves extending from the right sidewall at least to the connecting portion along the circumferential direction and intermittent portions formed by spacing apart adjacent terminal ends of the lateral grooves.

    • The invention relates to a bottle container with a handle which includes a bottle body and a handle member mounted on the bottle body. A mounting projecting portion which forms a polygonal cross-sectional shape is provided so as to project from the bottle body, and the handle member is provided with a mounting hole which forms a substantially rectangular cross-sectional shape and which allows the mounting projecting portion to be inserted thereinto. An outer peripheral edge of the polygon formed by the cross-section of the mounting projecting portion is provided with a pair of lateral pressure-contacting portions which extend along a central axis of the bottle body, and a pair of axial pressure-contacting portions which extend in a direction orthogonal to the central axis. The handle member is mounted on the bottle body in a state where four side portions of the mounting hole are brought into pressure contact with the pair of lateral pressure-contacting portions and the pair of axial pressure-contacting portions, respectively, by inserting the mounting projecting portion into the mounting hole, and then rotating the bottle body and the handle member relative to each other. According to the invention, a bottle container with a handle having simple structure and capable of firmly fixing the bottle body and the handle member to each other can be provided.

    • The object of this invention is to provide a container having a reduced area of vacuum-absorbing panels and thus acquiring improved appearance and having strength against a pressure drop, i.e., the strength enough to retain the shape of the container even when there is a pressure drop inside the container.A shoulder portion or a bottom portion of a resin-made storage container is molded by aligning one or two groups of three corners and one or two groups of three pillars vertically and in parallel to the central axis of the container. Each group of three corners is a part of the corners forming a cross-section of a regular enneagon and being connected to either the shoulder portion or the bottom portion, and the lines connecting these three corners form a regular triangle. Each group of three pillars is a part of the pillars belonging to the body and forming a cross-section of a hexagon, and the lines connecting these three pillars form a regular triangle.If there is a pressure drop inside the container due to a decrease in the temperature of the contents, stress builds up inside the body of the container in such a way that the body deforms into a regular triangular prism, with vertically aligned corners/pillars serving as the three angles. As a result, the container has an enhanced level of strength against the force coming from any direction. With the shape stabilized, the container has also high resistance to buckling.
