    • A docking system includes a mobile robotic device and a charging station to which the robotic device is to dock. The robotic device is comprised of sensors to capture a homing signal emitted by the charging station, docking logic that processes the homing signal so that it can be used to control the movements of the robotic device towards and dock with the charging station, and it is comprised of a mechanism for receiving a cylindrical charging post. The charging station is comprised of a circular platform in the center of which is located the charging post that is generally cylindrical in shape. The charging post includes a charging contact, ground contacts and an IR emitter. The geometry of the receiver mechanism elements and the shape of the charging post and geometry of the charging station generally permits the robotic device to approach the charging station and to dock with the charging station from any angle.

    • An injection device (210; 110) is described. A housing (212; 112) receives a syringe and includes a return spring (226; 126) for biasing the syringe from an extended position in which its needle (218; 118) extends from the housing (212; 112) to a retracted position in which the it does not. A drive spring (230; 130) acts on a first drive element (232; 132) and a second drive element (234; 134) acts upon the syringe to advance it from its retracted position to its extended position and discharge its contents through the needle. The first drive element (232; 132) is capable of movement relative to the second (234; 134) once a nominal decoupling position has been reached. A release mechanism is activated when the first drive element (234; 134) is further advanced to a nominal release position, to release the syringe (214; 114) from the action of the drive spring (230; 130), whereupon the return spring (226; 126) restores the syringe (214; 114) to its retracted position. The nominal decoupling and release positions are defined relative to the syringe (214; 114). This may be achieved by interaction between a moving component and a decoupling component (162; 262) that moves with the syringe as it is advanced.

    • A device management system for securely storing an encryption key associated with a device management session. The device management system includes an encryption key generator to generate an encryption key, a client device to receive an encrypted bootstrap data file transmitted by a base station, and a network interface controller coupled to the client device, the network interface controller to store the encryption key separate from a system memory of the client device. Embodiments of the device management system ensure user credentials do not exist in the client device in plaintext form outside of the network interface controller, thus preventing software and/or malware executed on the host from extracting such credentials.

    • A system for coordinating the submission and processing of a bill according to predictive payment data of a plan. The system comprises a provider interface and an integrated database for receiving a predictive payment plan submitted from the provider interface. The system also has a predictive payment request of the plan storable in the database, the request including a plurality of predictive payment parameters. An adjudication engine is coupled to the integrated database, and an insertion function is used for inserting the predictive payment parameters, when stored in the database, into an adjudication rule set of the adjudication engine. The adjudication rule set is used for eventual adjudication of the predictive payment data, wherein adjudication of the predictive payment data results in the generation of the bill. The system also has a workflow engine coupled to the integrated database for coordinating the processing of the electronic bill and for updating the bill information in response to the bill processing. A management system is coupled to the integrated database for monitoring the contents of the integrated database accessible by the provider interface, wherein the provider can coordinate real-time retrieval of submission and status details for bill information contained in the integrated database.
