    • A temperature control network for a toner fusing device in an electrostatic copier, includes a temperature sensing member located within the toner fusing device generating an electric signal corresponding to the temperature within the toner fusing device to control the electric power supplied to the fusing device heating unit by way of a bridge and differential amplifier circuit to maintain the temperature in the toner fusing device constant, while the electric signal from the temperature sensing member controls other devices in the electrophotographic reproducing apparatus, when the temperature in the fusing device reaches a toner fusible temperature upon starting the operation of the electrostatic copier or when the toner fusing device is cooled to a temperature below a given temperature upon the termination of the operation of the electrostatic copier.

    • A vehicle surroundings monitoring device for clarifying the accuracy of detection results and providing notification so that a driver can intuitively ascertain the position in which an object exists, the vehicle surroundings monitoring device comprising: an object detection unit for detecting objects in the periphery of a vehicle; a vehicle image generation unit for generating an image of the vehicle with the point of view set above the vehicle; a periphery image generation unit for generating an image of the periphery of the vehicle including the image of the vehicle; a position-calculating unit for calculating a corresponding position in the image of the periphery on the basis of detection results of the object detection unit; and an indicator unit for indicating the corresponding position in the image of the periphery when the degree of confirmation of the detection results of the object detection unit meets or exceeds an assessment threshold, and for indicating the corresponding region in the image of the periphery when the degree of confirmation of the detection results is less than the assessment threshold.

    • A seal member (60) has a dual-tube structure consisting of an outer tubular seal member (160a) and an inner tubular seal member (160b); the outer tubular seal member (160a) is welded, at its rear end portion, to the inner circumferential surface of a forward-end housing (131), thereby forming a housing-side joint W2; the inner tubular seal member (160b) is welded, at its forward end portion, to a forward end portion of the outer tubular seal member (160a), thereby forming an inter-tubular-seal-member joint W3; and the inner tubular seal member (160b) is welded, at its portion located rearward of the joint W3, to the outer circumferential surface of the heater (10), thereby forming a heater-side joint W1.
