摘要： The invention is directed to a method and an arrangement for controlling an internal combustion engine (1) having a compressor (5) for compressing the air drawn in by suction by the engine (1). The compressor is especially an exhaust-gas turbocharger. With the method and arrangement, a requirement-proper and timely opening of a valve (10) of an air path (15) is ensured for avoiding compressor pumping. The air path (15) bypasses the compressor (5). The valve (10) of the air path (15), which bypasses the compressor (5), is controlled in dependence upon at least one pregiven characteristic line (20, 25) of a compressor characteristic field.

The setpoint charge pressure to be generated by the compressor is limited to a maximally allowed setpoint charge pressure as a function of a temperature at the output side of the compressor.

摘要： The invention is based on an adaptive transmission control wherein changes in the gear ratio of the automatic transmission are determined in dependence upon the detected position of the accelerator pedal actuated by the driver or variables associated therewith and in dependence upon the vehicle straight-line speed and/or the output rpm of the transmission and/or the motor rpm or variables associated therewith. Also, an adaptive variable is determined which adapts the changes of the transmission gear ratio at least to the driving situation then present. The essence of the invention is that the path data of a navigation system is used to determine the above-mentioned adaptation variable. The navigation system is a known map-supported navigation system. In this way, it is advantageously possible to precisely detect the present as well as future driving and environmental situations to which the vehicle is just then subjected or will be subjected in the near future. Accordingly, a very precise estimate of the then existing driving or environmental situation is obtained to which the vehicle is just then subjected or will be subjected in the near future. Shifting strategy can be adapted to these present and future driving situations.

By means of a pressure sensor installed in a bypass line, the vacuum is measured; normally this vacuum must roughly correspond to the vacuum in the intake pipe and if this is the case, it can be concluded that the venting device is functional and tight. If there is a large increase in the vacuum measurement then it is concluded that there is a leak in the venting system. The venting device is particularly intended for use in motor vehicles.

The logic device logically combines the individual values with a precontrol time provided by the precontrol timer, in such a manner that such a control time is obtained for each injection device that the lambda values individually measured for each cylinder by a lambda probe in the exhaust gas are essentially equal for all cylinders. It is possible to achieve very advantageous exhaust gas values with such a control device.
