    • A calculation method for finding the hole mobility or the electron mobility of an organic film. The method includes the steps of: calculating the electron density of a film using semi-empirical quantum molecular dynamics calculations; using the fact that holes and electrons move easily through regions of high electron density to calculate the probability that a hole or an electron will move in an excited state in which an electron is excited from the HOMO (highest occupied molecular orbital) to the LUMO (lowest unoccupied molecular orbital) using a Monte Carlo method; and, using the probability as a performance index, calculating the hole mobility from the number of carriers which exist in the HOMO and the orbitals below the HOMO, or calculating the electron mobility from the number of carriers which exist in the LUMO and the orbitals above the LUMO.

    • The present invention is relative to a disc cartridge in which an optical disc (3), an inner shell (4) and shutter members (5a), (5b) are housed in a main cartridge body unit (2), formed by abutting and combining upper and lower shells (6), (7), and in which the inner shell is run in rotation to cause the shutter members (5a), (5b) to open or close an aperture (24) provided in the main cartridge body unit (2). On an inner side of the peripheral wall sections of the upper and lower shells, abutted to each other, a crank-shaped dust intrusion prohibiting unit (21A) is provided for prohibiting intrusion of dust and dirt from the abutting surfaces of the peripheral wall sections of the upper and lower shells towards the optical disc housed in the main cartridge body unit to protect the optical disc housed in the main cartridge body unit. The inner shell provided in the main cartridge body unit includes an aperture (44) in register with an aperture in the main cartridge body unit, and includes a connecting portion (43a) bridging an open end side of the aperture. This connecting portion has a height not protruding towards the lower shell.

    • A disk cartridge case is disclosed which has improved durability and which enables hanging for display or storage purposes. The disk cartridge case includes a case body and a cover for covering a cartridge inserting port provided on the case body. The cover has a cover back member superposed on a case body back member of the case body, a cover front member, a front forming plate, a closing member and a bottom member. The cover back member has a non-adhesion portion located on a side of the closing member and being capable of contacting and separating from the case body back member and an adhesion portion located at an opposite-side of the closing member and being adhered to the case body back member. Furthermore, the cover front member includes an insertion tab having a locking tab. The insertion tab and locking tab are received by a slot formed in the front forming plate. Then, by hooking the locking tab on edge of the slot, the cover front member is secured to the front forming plate.

    • A disk cartridge with a write protect mechanism includes a cassette casing in which a disk is rotatably housed. The cassette casing includes upper and lower halves. The upper half includes a planar wall and a standing peripheral wall, and the lower half also includes a corresponding planar wall and a corresponding standing peripheral wall. The cassette casing is formed by facing the standing peripheral walls and firmly securing them to each other. A housing space is provided in the cassette casing for slidably receiving a manually operable switching member of the write protect mechanism therein. An inlet is provided at the standing peripheral walls of the upper and lower halves for communicating the housing space with an outside of the cassette casing therethrough. The manually operable switching member is inserted into the housing space through the inlet provided at the standing peripheral walls.
