    • A pressure regulator for independent automobile heater fuel lines, particularly for connection upstream of a dosing pump. The pressure regulator includes an upper housing portion, and a lower housing portion which are connected together with a diaphragm being disposed between the upper housing portion and the lower housing portion. The diaphragm operates with the upper housing portion to form an air space and cooperates with the lower housing portion to define a pressure regulation space. An adjusting lever is positioned within the pressure regulation space attached to an adjusting piece which in turn is attached to the diaphragm. An inlet is provided opening into the pressure regulation space and an outlet is provided leading to a dosing pump or the like. A control member is positioned within the inlet having a sealing ring about it. The control member has a cylindrical shaft portion which is slightly smaller than a boring in the inlet connection. The cone-shaped pressure piece is positioned at the end of the control body contacting the lever. The movement of the lever causes the restriction of the inlet in response to movement of the diaphragm.

A clearance sensor is associated with, and radially spaced from, the backing roller for detecting the clearance between the sensor and the backing roller, the distance varying with the radial wear of the backing roller, the clearance sensor emitting a control signal corresponding to the detected clearance. An adjustment drive is arranged to displace the backing roller towards the sawing rope axis, and a controller receiving the control signal controls the adjustment drive in response thereto for displacing the backing roller in dependence on the radial wear thereof.

    • In order to improve a method of injecting a first and a second fuel component into a combustion chamber, particularly of a rocket engine, wherein an injection element guides the first fuel component in an inner cylindrical stream and the injection element guides the second fuel component in an annular stream surrounding the inner cylindrical stream, so that by comparison with known methods improved mixing and more homogeneous preparation of the fuel takes place on injection into the combustion chamber, it is proposed that in the injection element the first and/or the second fuel component is guided by an element which produces a pressure drop and is disposed and constructed in such a way that the energy released during the pressure drop is at least partially converted into turbulence energy of the stream of the first and/or the second fuel component in order to achieve a good intermixing of the two fuel components in the mixing zone.
