    • A safety fastener for mounting fitting equipment such as suspension and retention systems onto a ballistic helmet. The nut portion of the fastener fits substantially within a grommet that is attached to a strap that forms part of the suspension or retention systems. The nut retains, rather than clamps, the grommet to the helmet. The grommet can be pulled off the nut. The pull-out force is less than the fastener fracture force. The configuration of the fastener allows ballistic threat energy to be absorbed by helmet deformation and delamination along with grommet pull-out to provide energy dissipation in stages which avoids the creation of secondary projectiles from the fastener itself.

    • This invention relates to a system and method of processing print order requests in a print system comprising a central print controller, a plurality of remote print customers and a plurality of remote print suppliers, the central print controller being connected to the plurality of remote print customers and the plurality of remote print suppliers by way of a communications network. Print customers transmit their print order requests to one central print controller. The central print controller will have information relating to a number of print suppliers stored in the central print controller database and can ascertain which of the print suppliers is the most suitable print supplier for executing a particular order. The central print controller is able to obtain the different protocols and data formats used in the proprietary database systems of the print supplier from its own central print controller database and may then format the print order request into a format suitable for receipt by the print supplier.

The portable audio reproduction system can include a docking station or similar means for communicatively coupling an audio device to the portable audio reproduction system, thereby reducing desktop clutter and simplifying connecting the portable audio reproduction system with the audio device. The speakers of the portable audio reproduction system can preferably be received within a base portion of the system, thereby protecting the speakers during transport and reducing the overall size of the system for improved portability. External connections may also be provided, thereby enabling the portable audio reproduction system to receive audio signals from additional sources, and a mixer allows the system to reproduce signals from a portable audio device and an auxiliary source, such as a computer.

    • Methods and devices are provided for controlling the impact undesirable short circuits between non-adjacent but critically matched pairs of electrodes in a co-planar electrochemical sensor. In one embodiment, the size and/or shape of at least one electrode is configured to induce a short circuit between electrode pairs for which connectivity is pre-set to be measured by a meter in order to indicate a short circuit between a different pair for which such connectivity is not pre-set to be measured. In another embodiment, the surface area of one or more electrodes, other than the working electrode, which are designed to be exposed to a sample fluid is significantly limited in relation to the surface area of the working electrode that is exposed to the sample fluid.
