    • Operations included in creation of an electronic document having a plurality of predefined fields include receiving an input that a user makes under guidance of an input area in a graphical user interface (GUI). The input includes a character string and is made to create an electronic document in a computer system. A field with which the first character string is associated is determined. A template has a template input area for each of several predefined fields. The template is displayed in the GUI with an entry corresponding to the string entered in the correct input area. A GUI includes the input area and a template display area. Upon determining that the first character string is associated with a first predefined field, the first character string is entered in the template input area for the first predefined field. The string can also be used for template selection.

    • The automated data field processing of an input form includes the determination of a purpose identifier for the form. In the input form, input data is received associated with one or more data fields of the input form. Based on this input data, stored data is retrieved from a memory device and associated with further data fields of the input form. The automated data field processing includes determining location data for the input form based on the purpose identifier and at least one of the input data, the stored data or a combination of both. The location data identifies a particular location relating to the intended purpose of the business form and the location data is thereupon associated with the input form.

    • A method to be performed before performing a data repository query includes receiving an input from a user, the input specifying a query to be performed in a data repository. Before performing the query, it is determined whether the query meets a predefined criterion associated with slow data repository queries. If the query meets the predefined criterion, a message is presented to the user regarding the query potentially being slow to perform, and it is provided that the user can modify the query before the query is performed. A method to be performed in association with a data repository query includes receiving an input that specifies a query to be performed in a data repository. The query is performed in the data repository. If performance of the query exceeds a predefined limit, the query is recorded. Recorded queries may be used in improving system performance or in educating users.

    • A filter material forming a filter layer consisting substantially exclusively of celluloses and cellulose derivatives. In addition to cellulose acetate fibers, the filter layer contains, in the form of additives, microcrystalline cellulose and microfine cellulose, or else microcrystalline cellulose only. The amount of microcrystalline cellulose can be as high as 70% of the weight of the filter layer and that of microfine cellulose up to 50% of the weight of the filter layer. Cellulose acetate fibers can be excluded if in their place, microcrystalline cellulose having particle sizes less than 10 .mu.m. are used. The manufacturing method provides for cellulose acetate fibers to be first mixed in a wet state with microfine cellulose and microcrystalline cellulose, after which differently prepared celluloses are admixed. The mash formed by mixing is formed into a fleece by means of a known felting method, and the fleece is subsequently dried. With layers of the filter material, filtration efficiencies up to and including a sterilizing range are achieved, which renders them comparable to known kieselguhr layers.
