    • A system and method of monitoring contaminant particles in pipelines. The system can include a probe for extending into a pipeline, and sampling fluid in the pipeline to ensure that a representative amount of contaminants within the pipeline can subsequently be measured. An analyzer receives the sampled fluid from the probe, illuminates the sampled fluid with a light source, and collects scattered light from any contaminant particles in the illuminated sampled fluid. A detector receives the scattered light from the analyzer, and converts the scattered light into an electrical signal that is proportional to the contaminant particles size. A processor receives the electrical signal from the detector, converts the electrical signal into digital data pertaining to the contaminant particles, and transmits the digital data on an Ethernet connection, or wireless signal to a communication network for distribution to at least one digital data processor for display and evaluation.

    • Described herein are methods and systems for choosing digital advertisements to send to a user's computer while protecting private information. When a user performs a search using a public site, the user's search information is stored in a database. The system builds a profile for the user based on the public search information, which can be used to select advertisements for delivery to a Web site accessed by the user. The system can also select advertisements based on information gleamed from a user's private (desktop) searches. For example, the system can use the content or category in which a user is searching to choose advertisements.

    • The present invention relates to an apparatus for filtering a gas or liquid stream such as a natural gas stream. The apparatus includes a closed vessel having a longitudinally extending length, an initially open interior, an input port at one extent and an output port at an opposite extent thereof. A partition located within the vessel interior divides the vessel interior into a first stage and a second stage. At least one opening is provided in the partition. A filter element is disposed within the vessel to extend from within the first stage. The filter element is easily mounted or removed from the vessel by rotating a J-slot engagement surface on the element which mates with a post provided on a mounting structure provided on the vessel partition.

    • The device is of the frustum dispersion type having a housing forming a conical cavity, sealed at its large end, tapering to a discharge orifice at the other end. There is a fluid inlet, which tangential to the cavity near the sealed end. There is a hollow, tapered helix cut cone shape in the center of the cavity, affixed to the sealed end, with the point thereof axially aligned with the discharge orifice to help enable the continuous swirling motion of the contained fluid and to act as a gas inlet port to start the formation of a gas vortex. As fluid in the cavity approaches the discharge orifice, it is accelerated because of the reduction of area inside the cavity as it tapers. The change in specific gravities between the fluid and the gas causes a swirling centrifugal force on the liquid and a centripetal inner swirling of the gas. The result is at the point of discharge, the fluid is heavily loaded with small bubbles of gas.
