    • A method and system for analog video noise reduction by blending finite impulse response (FIR) and infinite impulse response (IIR) filtering are provided. A filtering mode may be selected to generate noise-reduced pixels using FIR, IIR, or a blend of FIR/IIR filtering. Blending a current pixel and an FlR-filtered current pixel may generate a first blended current pixel. The FIR filtering may be based on the current pixel, a previous collocated pixel, and a next collocated pixel. Blending the current pixel and an IIR-filtered current pixel may generate a second blended current pixel. Blending the first blended current pixel and the second blended current pixel using an adaptive blending factor may dynamically generate a filtered output pixel. The IIR filtering may be based on the current pixel and a collocated pixel of the previous second blended video image or of the previous filtered output video image.

    • A method and a system for video noise reduction based on moving content detection are described. Aspects of a system for processing images may include circuitry within a chip that determines a motion metric that indicates an amount of motion between a current video picture and at least one of the following: at least one preceding video picture and at least one subsequent video picture. The motion metric may be computed from a maximum value derived by summing, over a plurality of corresponding pixels that are located within a region around a reference pixel in a current video picture, differences in values of the plurality of corresponding pixels. The circuitry within the chip may also compute a blending factor that has a nonlinear relationship to the motion metric. The circuitry within the chip may adjust at least one pixel in the current video picture based on the computed blending factor.

    • The present disclosure provides a method for local calling via a webpage, including that: a local calling operation instruction is serialized, the serialized local calling operation instruction is filled into a webpage as a hyperlink character string, and the webpage is sent to a server or a local operating system; and a browser acquires the webpage from the local operating system or the server according to a model of the operating system local to the browser local to the browser, de-serializes the hyperlink character string in the webpage, and requests, according to an instantiated local calling operation instruction obtained through the de-serialization, the operating system local to the browser to execute a local calling operation indicated by the instantiated local calling operation instruction. The present disclosure further provides a system for local calling via a webpage. With the method and system provided in the present disclosure, a new local calling function may be added without updating any browser code, thereby improving universality of local calling.

    • A toll violation enforcement system that contains a capture unit that receives a trigger signal and takes vehicle images of passing vehicles. A lighting unit configured to operate continuously is provided to establish a major lighting source incident on the vehicle. A processing unit is provided that processes the vehicle image and controls the settings employed by the capture unit. The processing unit preferably contains a plate location module for extracting an original resolution license plate area image from a first vehicle image; an exposure control module for controlling the exposure setting on the capture unit to provide consistent intensity of the license plate area; a resolution reset module for changing the image resolution for a second vehicle image; an image enhancement module for brightening pixels of the second vehicle image; and an image compression module for compressing the license plate area image and second vehicle image to a predetermined format.
