    • Under program execution environment, a file size of a heap dump is reduced which is acquired so as to detect memory leaks, and so as to investigate occurrence causes of the memory leaks. In order to provide a memory leak investigating means which can be used even in a large-scaled system, the below-mentioned heap dump acquiring method is provided: When a heap dump is acquired, only such an object within objects stored in a heap memory is outputted which is adapted to the following conditions: That is, in a condition (1), an object exists among objects which are newly produced within a designated time period, and in another condition (2), an object is present on a reference path defined from a root set to the object which satisfies the above-explained condition (1).

    • An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing body which can bear an electrostatic image; a bias member to which a predetermined bias is applied from a bias applying device; and a surface potential detection device which detects a surface potential at the image bearing body. The surface potential detection device includes a detector portion which generates a signal corresponding to the surface potential at the image bearing body and a potential detection portion which detects the surface potential by the signal from the detector portion. In the image forming apparatus, the potential detection portion is also used for detection of a bias value which the bias applying device applies to the bias member, the bias applying device is controlled based on the detection result of the bias which the bias applying device applies, and the bias detection result is obtained by the potential detection unit.

    • Provided is a display device equipped with a touch panel, including a front panel arranged above a capacitive touch panel at a predetermined distance away therefrom, in which the touch panel includes a plurality of X electrodes and a plurality of Y electrodes, and the X electrodes are sequentially applied with pulse signals and the Y electrodes receive the pulse signals. When an arbitrary point on the front panel is touched, the touch panel computes a touched point on the touch panel by using both the received pulse signals obtained from the Y electrodes in a case where the front panel is not deformed and the received pulse signals obtained from the Y electrodes in a case where the front panel is deformed.
