    • A dual-band loop antenna for using in a mobile phone for (890˜960 MHz)/DCS(1710˜1880 MHz) application is disclosed to include a ground plane in a substantially rectangular shape having a grounding point and a shorting point, a radiating metallic loop having a feeding end and a shorting end electrically connected to the shorting point of the ground plane and spaced from the feeding end at a predetermined distance, and a radiating metallic plate surrounded by the radiating metallic loop and having one end electrically connected to a vicinity around the shorting end of the radiating metallic loop and spaced from the shorting end of the radiating metallic loop at a distance less than 10 mm.

    • The present invention relates to a multiband folded loop antenna comprising a dielectric substrate, a ground plane, a radiating portion and a matching circuit. The ground plane is located on the dielectric substrate and has a grounding point. The radiating portion comprises a supporter, a loop strip, and a tuning patch. The loop strip has a length about half wavelength of the antenna's lowest resonant frequency. The loop strip has a feeding end and a grounding end, with the grounding end electrically connected to the grounding point on the ground plane. The loop strip is folded into a three-dimensional structure and is supported by the supporter. The tuning patch is electrically connected to the loop strip. The matching circuit is located on the dielectric substrate with one terminal electrically connected to the feeding end of the loop strip and another terminal to a signal source.

    • An omnidirectional ultra-wideband monopole antenna, with the characteristics of simple structure, easy fabrication and low cost, mainly comprises a ground plane, a U-shaped radiating member above the ground plane and a feeding member for feeding signals to the radiating member. The radiating member further comprises a first sub-radiating member parallel to the ground plane, with a first side edge and a corresponding second side edge, a second sub-radiating member connected to the first side edge and perpendicular to the first sub-radiating member, forming a first angle therebetween, and a third sub-radiating member connected to the second side edge to form a second angle. The second sub-radiating member and the third sub-radiating member are extended in the same upright direction above the ground plane. The antenna can provide good omnidirectional radiation patterns for frequencies across a very wide operating bandwidth.

    • A planar dipole antenna comprises a dielectric substrate, two radiation conductors, and a transmission line. The two radiation conductors are formed on the dielectric substrate and separated by a predefined distance. Each radiation conductor includes first and second metal plates, and a meandered metal line. The meandered metal line has two ends and at least three bending points. One end of the meandered metal line is connected to the first metal plate, while the other end is connected to the second metal plate. This antenna increases the receiver's gain up to 6.8 dBi through the use of the current distribution of three equal-phase areas. This overcomes the drawback of a conventional antenna with receiver's gain only about 2.2 dBi. This planar dipole antenna has a simple structure of single-sided circuitry, and is easily formed on the dielectric substrate by a standard printing or etching process.
