In the embodiment with one cam and lever mechanism, the selector enables the cam and lever mechanism to be activated or neutralized. In the embodiment with two cam and lever mechanisms, the selector enables one or the other of the two cam and lever mechanism to be selected.

    • The device includes two breaking areas formed at each side of a contact bridge carrying main contacts that can be separated from fixed contacts located in the breaking areas and fixed to main conductors. The main conductors each have shaped extensions in the break areas that are configured to cooperate with shaped extensions associated with arc collection parts positioned nearby. The shaping of the extensions and the spacing therebetween encourage a particular direction of arc migration relative to arcs created when the moveable contacts carried by the contact bridge are separated from the fixed contacts. Further, arc migration control is provided in the form of magnetic fields provided in each breaking area. Each arc collection part is connected through a shunt conductor and a single direction of current flow establishing component to make a direct electrical connection to the main conductor associated with the other area.

    • A photoelectric cell which detects a distance of an object, including: a first detection component configured to produce a first current which is a function of the distance of the object; a second detection component configured to produce a second current which is a function of the distance of the object; and, a processing circuit configured to shape a first voltage signal and a second voltage signal that correspond to the first current and second current, respectively. The processing circuit includes a main comparator configured to determine whether the distance of the object is greater or less than a detection range of said photoelectric cell by comparing the first voltage signal and the second voltage signal and to output a switching signal indicative of whether the distance of the object is greater or less than the detection range, and, a locking comparator configured to maintain the switching signal in an inactive state when the first voltage signal is less than a set-point voltage which corresponds to a detection distance greater than the detection range.
