    • A device for automatically controlling audio volume based on vehicle speed and a method for operating the same keep the car audio volume at a uniform level relative to noise occurring at a level proportional to vehicle speed. The device includes a vehicle speed calculation unit, a car audio device including a speaker, a mode-setting button, and a microcomputer. The mode-setting button is formed on the car audio device at a portion thereof so as to allow a user to set an automatic volume control mode of the car audio device. The microcomputer automatically controls volume of the car audio device so as to output an audio volume corresponding to vehicle speed calculated in the vehicle calculation unit, according to the automatic volume control mode set through the mode-setting button.

    • Disclosed herein is a multi-function connector for vehicles. The multi-function connector of the present invention includes a connector housing, and a plurality of terminals which are disposed in the connector housing and are connected at ends thereof to wires. The connector further includes a conductor which is coupled to at least two terminals and electrically connects the terminals to each other, and a nonconductor which surrounds the conductor. The conductor is a plate type conductor which has an elastic locking part formed by protruding and bending a part of the plate type conductor. A locking groove, having a shape corresponding to the elastic locking part, is formed in the nonconductor, so that coupling of the conductor to the nonconductor is maintained by insertion of the elastic locking part into the locking groove. Therefore, the multi-function connector of the present invention can serve as both a connector for wire connection and a connector for wire shorting, thus being used for multiple purposes. Furthermore, because the plate type conductor of the intermediate connection unit is assembled with the nonconductor by a fitting method, the structure and the manufacturing process of the connector are simplified, thus reducing the consumption of material.

    • The present invention relates to a reception antenna structure of a tire pressure monitoring system. The reception antenna is implemented using a cable-type antenna connected to a receiver of the tire pressure monitoring system. The cable-type antenna enables a mounting position of the antenna to be freely changed and improves a reception rate for measured data about temperature and pressure of a tire, that is modulated into data in the UHF band and transmitted to the outside of the tire in a wireless manner by a transmitter. According to the present invention, the reception antenna of a tire pressure monitoring system is implemented using a radiating leakage coaxial cable so as to enable the position of the antenna to be freely changed, so that, when tire pressure data is measured by a temperature and pressure sensor included in the transmitter within the tire and then transmitted through a tire pressure monitoring transmitter in a wireless manner, the reception sensitivity for the measured data is improved, thus increasing the reliability of the data measured at the tire, and guaranteeing the stability of the tire on the basis of the reliability of the reception sensitivity for the measured data.
