    • A bale shredder apparatus may comprise a frame and a bale hopper mounted on the frame and defining an interior bale chamber for receiving a bale to be shredded with a bale feed opening. A bale shredding assembly may be in communication with the bale chamber through the opening to shred a bale in the bale chamber. A side wall of the hopper may be movable away from the primary side wall to permit removal of a bale from the bale chamber. A primary bale movement assembly may move a bale in a lateral direction toward the opening and a secondary bale movement assembly may move the bale in a direction substantially transverse to the lateral direction. A shredding rotor of the shredding assembly may include at least one brace including at least one leg extending outwardly from the outer surface of the rotor.

    • A cutting device for agricultural harvesters has a conveying channel and pivotably supported cutting knives arranged in a row on a frame. The cutting knives project in the cutting position into the conveying channel. A conveying member with conveying tines, rotatingly driven about a horizontal axis, interacts with the cutting knives for comminuting crop. Individual adjusting devices, each associated with one cutting knife, yieldingly support the cutting knives in the cutting position. A knife switching device is provided to move the cutting knives from the inoperative position into the cutting position. With a preselecting device a desired group of cutting knives can be selected that is pivoted into the cutting position upon activation of the knife switching device. The preselecting device is activatable with reduced force expenditure by eliminating resistances, caused by adjusting and connecting devices of the knife switching device, when preselecting the desired group of cutting knives.

    • The present invention is related to a mixing machine which basically consists of a hopper, that has a main chamber within its housing, with a rotary member (rotor), where at said rotor ends there are cleaning elements for sweeping the floor and taking up the material, by feeding a secondary chamber, which is located in parallel adjacent to the main chamber, where said secondary chamber has a bottom worm conveying the material from one end of the mixing machine to the other end thereof, until collapsing with a loop found on its front portion and generating a material bubble; an upper worm to remove the material bubble and carrying it up to the middle part of the machine. At the middle part of the machine, the material is forced by a loop system having an upper worm to move towards the rotor area, such that the material is actually moving towards the back portion of the machine, completing a mixing cycle. Said upper worm has from the middle of its axis, a plurality of discs on which peripheral edge of each disc is mounted a series of exchangeable knives placed on a loop arrangement, which are passed through a counterplate, and which shows a series of exchangeable knives placed at the bottom part of the material collector chut, so when the upper worm discs plurality is rotating, it allows both, humid and dry fibers be efficiently crushed and/or ground and besides added to the other several common ingredients a unique and highly qualified mixing is achieved.

    • A tractor-mounted forage harvester has a relatively narrow, high-speed cutterhead and crop-feeding means mounted in a housing having a narrow inlet alongside the tractor and a windrow-pickup attachment removably attached to the housing for picking up a windrowed crop from the field and delivering it through the inlet. The pickup attachment has a forward, axially transverse, rotary pickup which raises the crop from the field and delivers it rearwardly to a transverse auger, which, in turn, delivers the crop to a fore-and-aft auger that moves the crop rearwardly along a fore-and-aft passage along one side of the auger through the forage harvester inlet. A baffle is provided adjacent the rear end of the fore-and-aft auger for directing the crop under the auger and into the fore-and-aft passageway. The pickup is floatable about a transverse axis and supported on a pair of gage wheels, and vertical tension springs extend between the pickup and a tooth-type compressor above the pickup to partly counterbalance the weight of the pickup.
