    • An angular motion measurement system disposed on a movable platform having a first and second section, the system comprising a first and second measurement arrangement and a processor arrangement. The first measurement arrangement provides a first output indicative of angular motion of the first section and has a bandwidth above 50 Hertz and at least one of, a bias above 5 degrees per second and a scale factor above 10%. The second measurement arrangement provides a second output indicative of angular motion of the second section and has a bandwidth below 50 Hertz, a bias below 5 degrees per second and a scale factor below 10%. The processor arrangement is responsive to a plurality of inputs, which include the first and second output, generating a corrected output having a bandwidth above 50 Hertz, a bias below 5 degrees per second and a scale factor below 10%.

    • A foot-operated accelerator pedal (18) in a lift truck (10) commonly provides for control of forward (14) and reverse (16) direction as well as acceleration (12) of the truck (10). Directional control portions (22) (24) of the pedal (18) are mounted on and movable relative to the accelerator control portion (20) for actuating switches upon making direct contact with the switches which are mounted on or near the pedal (18). A solution is offered to the common problem of relatively short wear life associated with such direct contact switches. The solution includes a pedal (18) having accelerator (20) and directional control portions (22) (24) and switches (80F) (80R) which are actuated without the need for direct contact with their actuators (92).

    • A dual indicating tachometer apparatus for utilization with ground vehicles such as automobiles and trucks for differentiating between the rotational speeds of the engine and clutch shaft of the vehicle. Two sensing devices are utilized with one monitoring the engine rotation speed of the vehicle while the other monitors the rotational speed of the clutch shaft. Either mechanical dial or digital electronic display means are utilized to expose to the user of such a vehicle the difference between the rotating speeds of the two vehicle elements in order to advise the user of the operating characteristics of the vehicle itself and to facilitate for the user the shifting of the vehicle's transmission. Means are also provided for displaying the respective rotating speeds of the measured elements as well as for indicating the difference in rotational speeds therebetween.

    • Disclosed herein are a device for detecting motions and a method for detecting motions. The device for detecting motions includes a sensor detecting motions to output detection result signals; an accumulation operation unit accumulatively summing absolute values of the detection result signals in a preset accumulation period to derive signal accumulation values; a motion determination unit comparing the signal accumulation values with a preset first reference value to determine whether the motions are present; and an output unit outputting motion detection signals according to determination results of the motion determination unit. By this configuration, the exemplary embodiments of the present invention can reflect a size of the detection result signals to motion detection while improving inaccuracy of the motion detection according to a fixing of a threshold value.
