摘要： A fastener and a fastener installation device which enables cables to be installed in hard to reach places safely and quickly. The fastener including a body forming a loop; a first connector formed at a first end of the body; and a second connector formed at a second end of the body; wherein the first connector is complementary with the second connector. The first connector of the first fastener connects with a second connector of a second fastener and the second connector of the first fastener connects with a first connector of a third fastener to form a chain of fasteners. The installation device including a hollow body and a cap rotatably mounted to an end of the hollow body which includes an aperture allowing a top fastener to pass through the aperture when the cap is in a first position.

摘要： A fastener connects two strings together, such as the drawstring of sweatpants or the two shoe lace strings ends of respective shoe lace strings in a pair of sneakers. The body of the fastener is made out of a material, such as highly dense polyurethane foam, that is strong, yet flexible, or of a rigid plastic, that is strong, yet flexible. The two strings to be fastened pass through one or more gripping and/or locking holes in the fastener body. When the shoelace is passed through the gripping and/or locking holes, the dense polyurethane foam grips the lace tightly. The free ends are pulled through one or more peripheral slits extending towards, but not all the way to, the gripping and/or locking holes and then bent against the upper outer surface of the disk and locked in place in the respective one or more peripheral locking slits.

摘要： Novel fastening devices and methods are disclosed. An example of the disclosed fastening device includes an elastomeric cord having a diameter dR in its normal relaxed state. The cord is coupled to a head having a slot formed on the outside of the head to receive the cord. The slot has an opening smaller in diameter than dR of the cord. In this manner, the cord needs to be stretched and thinned out to fit within the slot. When the cord is wrapped around one of more items and then stretched and thinned out to fit within the slot, a secure loop forms around the one or more items. As the cord is released, the head maintains the secure loop around the one or more items without damaging the items and without the need for hooks, hook and loop material, or the like. Depending on the application, the device may further comprise multiple slots and multiple cords. In yet another example, the head may be permanently affixed or mounted to an object, such as the cover of a book, to keep the book closed when not in use.

The rope clasp device comprises a base, at least one, but generally two swinging doors, and a lock. The swinging doors are pivotably coupled to the base in order to be moved between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, a pair of channels for passage of a rope is defined between the base and the doors. The channels are defined by a plurality of clasping teeth to retain the rope therein.
