    • A hydraulic control apparatus for controlling a hydraulic cylinder for an implement selectively mounted to a work vehicle. The apparatus includes a hydraulic power source, a four-position changeover control valve disposed between the hydraulic cylinder and the hydraulic power source, and an operational mechanism for operating the four-position changeover control valve. The four-position changeover control valve has a first position for moving a rod of the hydraulic cylinder in one direction, a second position for stopping the rod of the hydraulic cylinder, a third position for moving the hydraulic cylinder rod at a high speed in the other direction with using a function of a regenerative circuit and a fourth position for moving the hydraulic cylinder rod in the other direction at a standard speed without using the function of the regenerative circuit, in the mentioned order. The operational mechanism includes, along an operational movement path thereof, a rollback position, a neutral position, a rapid dump position and a standard dump position, the rollback position corresponding to the first position, the neutral position corresponding to the second position, the rapid dump position corresponding to the third position, the standard dump position corresponding to the fourth position, respectively.

    • A hydraulic tool having a ram or other working element propelled by pressurized fluid. The tool has a lever which is squeezed to develop fluid force in a pump. The fluid circuitry automatically operates the ram selectively at any one of three operating speeds and hence at three different magnitudes of force relative to the input speed of the lever as it is squeezed. The circuitry includes a principal supply subcircuit in which fluid flows directly from the pump to the ram, thereby establishing a normal speed mode of operation. A high speed subcircuit and a low speed subcircuit each operated by respective pressure responsive valves direct fluid ejected as the ram piston and pump piston advance to the respective rear sides of the ram piston and pump piston. This has the effect of accelerating the ram and operating at reduced force, thereby establishing a high speed mode of operation when resistance against the ram is minimal, and of decelerating the pump piston and operating at greater force, thereby establishing a low speed mode of operation when resistance is relatively high. In a preferred embodiment, the hydraulic tool includes a handle enabling grasping in pistol grip fashion and enabling ready squeezing of the lever.

    • An electrohydraulic control system for a hydraulic working cylinder, for example of a press, the piston of which has a main working surface and a smaller working surface on the rod side. A low-pressure circuit is provided for the feed or retraction movement of the piston, and a high-pressure circuit is provided for the loading movement at increased feed force and reduced speed. The connection or disconnection of these two circuits, when required, is produced with two 3/2 way valves that are coupled together. To control these control valves, there is provided an electrical reference motor that drives a cam disk which brings about the deflection of the coupled control slide valves of the control valves against a spring. A mechanical feedback is provided via the power piston, so that altogether a closed hydromechanical position control circuit is formed. If there is a difference between theoretical and actual values, this difference produces such a variation of the position of the control valves that via the control system of the low-pressure and high-pressure circuits connected therewith, the system endeavors to correct this difference automatically.

    • A control arrangement for hydraulic drives for driving piston pumps includes a control piston which is switchable between its end positions. The control piston has reciprocably effective longitudinally-extending flow restrictors connected into the power lines of the hydraulic drive and the control valves corresponding to each flow restrictor are provided with a pressure balancer. The direction of flow of the hydraulic fluid is the same through all flow restrictors in all switching positions of the control piston. The pressure balancer is controlled by the drop in pressure across the flow restrictor corresponding thereto. The outlet of the control valve for the hydraulic fluid flowing to the hydraulic drive and the inlet for the hydraulic fluid flowing away from the hydraulic drive are connected together at a common connecting terminal of the hydraulic drive.
