    • A waterproof shower module comprising a pre-fabricated, integrally molded unit which forms a unitary base having side walls and a pitched floor defining an opening within which is incorporated a vertically adjustable drain. Each side wall includes an upper lip forming a horizontal surface upon which wall board may be supported and flushly aligned with the side walls of the module such that a substantially continuous and uniform surface is formed which provides a suitable mounting surface for receiving shower tiles. The module floor includes a top surface and a bottom surface and defines a plurality of molded feet depending from the bottom surface, which feet function to support the module floor on the underlying subfloor. The module floor is uniformly pitched from each side wall to the drain opening. One of the side walls further defines a curb and includes inner and outer curb surfaces and a horizontal and curb surface. Tile installed on the module's surfaces and on the surrounding wall board.     • In a housing formed in a drain pipe joint, a lock receiving portion on the near end face, an internal thread portion and a taper portion are formed. Also, in a screw ring, lugs are formed in six locations and a external thread is formed, both around the circumference of the screw ring, a flat face portion is formed perpendicular to the axial direction of the screw ring, and hexagonal sockets and internal threads are formed parallel to the axial direction of the screw ring. Then, the screw ring is secured on the drain pipe joint by fitting a tool such as a spanner to flat face portions formed in the lugs, or by fitting a hexagonal bar spanner or the like to the hexagonal sockets, so that the drain pipe and the drain pipe joint can be connected. Further, stopper screws are screwed onto the internal threads formed in the lugs, whereupon the tips of the stopper screws push the surface of the lock receiving portion formed in the drain pipe joint, securing the drain pipe joint and screw ring.

    • A drain for a prefabricated shower stall that can be quickly and easily connected to a drain pipe, even though the drain pipe might be off-center with respect to the shower drain opening. The drain consists of two interfitting parts, a first of which is a drain body designed for attachment to the shower stall, and the second of which is a bushing-like member designed to interconnect the drain body and drain pipe. The drain body has a round opening, with a converging wall, extending through it, and an outwardly extending flange by means of which it can be affixed to a prefabricated shower stall around the drain opening in the stall. The converging wall of the opening in the drain body serves as a seat for the second part of the drain, which has a frustoconical outer wall to make this possible. This second part has a cylindrical bore concentric with its outer wall and is of such size as to extend below the first part, when seated therein, and telescopically receive the drain pipe in its cylindrical bore. A prefabricated shower stall with the first part of the drain attached can be quickly installed in position over a standing drain pipe by applying suitable glue to appropriate surfaces of the involved parts and then seating the second part of the drain in the first part, while pushing it into telescoping interfit with the drain pipe.

    • A waste drain connection for independently-supported plumbing fixtures including a pipe with two open ends and a pair or radially-extending arms having open portions therethrough secured to the outside of the pipe intermediate the open ends thereof. A receptacle mounted to the plumbing fixture drain outlet is adapted to receive a fluid sealing gasket. Mounted to the plumbing fixture about the receptacle are two, oppositely-disposed threaded studs. The studs are arranged to be alignable with the pair of open portions in the arms of the pipe. A pair of nuts threadably engaged over the ends of the studs following mating thereof with the open portioned arms to move one of the ends of the pipe into sealing engagement with the gasket. A standard no-hub connection is used to couple the other end of the pipe to the plumbing drain.
