摘要： Subject is rocket foam. This letters patent is for construction of a space craft from acrylonitrile foam polymer. The new art involves making a polymer sheet plasticized with sulfur dioxide gas. The plasticize sheet is drape formed and then heated to drive off the gas leaving a rigid foamed polymer shape. The sheet during plasticize step is given a thin adherent layer of sand mingled in acrylonitrile polymer powder. Thermal heating during rocket reentry orbit generates a skin layer of carbide. The carbide protects against flame temperature air, to prevent combustion of the underlying carbon foam structure. A variation is to make the acrylonitrile polymer as a latex paint and apply such paint to a screen form geometry.

摘要： Making foamed polyolefin tapes can include combining a polyolefin resin and a chemical blowing agent to form a mixture. This mixture can then be heated in an extruder to create a supersaturated solution of gas within the polyolefin resin. A cooling device can be positioned adjacent to a die at a set distance for receiving extruded resin and for allowing exposure of the extruded resin to ambient air between a die outlet and the cooling device. This predetermined distance or space between the cooling device and die outlet allows bubbles to grow in the extruded resin and to be shaped such that voids or empty spaces can be generated within the extruded polyolefin resin. The voids or empty spaces allow the formation of tapes which use less material but have adequate strength for various applications, such as for carpet backings, geotextiles, packaging, housewrap, bags, wire insulation, and reinforcement elements in concrete.

摘要： A process for the manufacture of a plastic part, the process comprising providing a polymer, heating the polymer, introducing a gas or supercritical fluid into the polymer, mixing the polymer and the gas to produce a first melt, extruding the first melt, pelletizing the extruded first melt to form pellets, transforming the pellets into a second melt, and molding the second melt to form the plastic part. In pelletizing the first melt, individual cells of gas are included in the resulting pellets. Before the cells can nucleate, the polymer is solidified to keep the gas contained therein. After the polymer is pelletized, the pellets are considered to be unfoamed. In molding the second melt to form the plastic part, nucleation of the cells is initiated through favorable process conditions and/or additional cell nucleating agents, thereby resulting in the second melt being foamed.

摘要： An object of the invention is to provide molded urethane foam pads and vehicle seats that can contribute to the reduction of environmental load and have appropriate impact resilience and hardness and excellent durability with good balance, and also have high comfort. A molded urethane foam pad for vehicle seats including a polyurethane is obtainable by foaming and curing materials including a plant-derived polyol (A), a non-plant-derived polyol (B), water, a catalyst, a foam stabilizer and a polyisocyanate, and has a core density of 55 to 65 kg/m3 as measured in accordance with JIS K6400; the plant-derived polyol (A) is a polyol which is obtained by condensing a polyhydric alcohol of 6 hydroxyl groups with a plant-derived, C15 or higher hydroxycarboxylic acid and which has a hydroxyl value of 45 to 55 mg KOH/g; the non-plant-derived polyol (B) is a polyol having a hydroxyl value of 18 to 26 mg KOH/g, and/or a polymer-dispersed polyol in which fine particles of a polymer of a compound having an unsaturated bond are dispersed in the polyol; and the polyurethane contains a plant-derived molecular structure and the content of the plant-derived molecular structure is 15 to 20 wt % based on 100 wt % of the molded urethane foam pad.
