摘要： A male incontinence assembly includes an inner covering positionable against genitals of a person. The inner covering includes a panel that is flexible and has an inner surface and an outer surface. The panel has a front edge and a rear edge. The panel is formable into a wearable position such that the inner surface is concavely arcuate from the front edge to the rear edge. A central portion positioned between the front and rear edges comprises a crotch area. An absorbent pad is mounted on the inner surface. An outer covering comprises a pair of shorts that is positionable around the inner covering. The outer covering completely covers the inner covering such that the inner covering is not viewable from a front side of the outer covering. The outer covering can be detached from the inner covering and the inner covering replaced if the inner covering becomes soiled.

The menstrual pant can have a front part; a back part; a crotch part provided so as to bridge between the front part and the back part, the crotch being utilized for fitting a sanitary napkin, a waist opening part provided in an upper edge of the front part and an upper edge of the back part, a pair of leg openings provided below both side edges of the front part and both side edges of the back part; and a lifting strip disposed along the longitudinal centerline in the rear portion. The menstrual pant can apply body-contacting pressures to the wearer's body longitudinally through the crotch of 25 g/cm2 to 100 g/cm2. The absorbent article can have a topsheet having a body facing surface, a backsheet joined to said topsheet; and an absorbent core disposed between said topsheet. The absorbent article can exhibit a 30-minute Vertical Wicking Height of at least about 12 cm.

摘要： Absorbent, launderable garments and undergarments for incontinent or other persons likely to discharge fluids from time to time are supplied in many styles and capacities. All include a shaped absorbent pouch assembly, having an inner conformable and permeable layer in contact with the skin and an absorbent cotton layer sealed under a gas-permeable yet waterproof and stretchable textile. The pouch is positioned by a set of elastic strips or sheet elastic fabric; each set being visually similar to a style of regular underwear. A preferred waterproofing treatment uses an emulsion of fluoroalkyl acrylate permeated into a knitted or woven textile. In higher capacity versions the entire garment is waterproofed.

A rear waist edge of the absorbent garment, while in a relaxed state, can extend a length that is greater than the lateral dimension of the unitary composite sheet from which the garment is formed.

In a preferred embodiment, the pull-on garment includes a chassis layer comprising a continuous sheet that defines a front region, a back region, and a crotch region; a first belt layer joined to the chassis layer in the front region; a second belt layer joined to the chassis layer in the back region; elastic panel members positioned between the belt layers and the chassis layers which laminate is mechanically stretched to form elastically extensible stretch laminates in both the front region and the back region in the side panels; and intermittent lap seams joining the front region to the back region at spaced apart locations so as to form the leg openings and waist openings.
