摘要： A PCM recording and reproducing apparatus comprising an error detecting circuit for detecting a frame including at least one word information signal with an error, the frame being a reproduction signal read from a recording medium on which certain pulse coded information is recorded in a frame distribution system, and a compensating circuit for compensating the reproduced information signal by the use of the output signal from the error detecting circuit, thereby removing the adverse effects of information dropout in spite of a high density recording.

The data link method includes dividing an error correction code block having a predetermined size into a plurality of sectors and checking data type identification information which indicates whether or not data in each sector is linking data; and replacing main data of a sector with predetermined data according to the result of checking the data type identification information. According to the above method, data type information is checked to determine whether or not to replace main data of the current sector with dummy data. By doing so, error occurrence of the prior art can be prevented and block error correction is carried out more effectively.

When recording resumes, the recording operation is restarted sequentially from the remaining data held in memory from the position at which recording was stopped. When the remaining data cannot be recorded, dummy data are recorded instead and playback is performed, skipping the dummy data section.

With this processing, interpolated pixels achieved by the interpolation processing are located at the same vertical spatial position, and pixels which are noise-reduced by the interpolated pixels are located at the same vertical spatial position as pixels before original noise is reduced, thereby locating the pixels at the same horizontal position.

摘要： Video data in the form of a plurality of digitised frames, is stored on a plurality of magnetic disks. Each image frame is striped across a plurality of disks and redundant parity information, derived from the stripes, is written to an additional disk. Disk failure is detected and in response to this detection missing data is regenerated from the parity information. This allows the transfer of video data in real time to be maintained for output so that the system remains operational. While data is being read in real time, derived from regenerated data, the regenerated data is written to an operational disk, thereby reprotecting the data in the event of a subsequent failure. Frame supplied to output are labelled as being protected or unprotected and application programs may respond to this status information as considered appropriate.

摘要： A plurality of digital signals having total data rates of n bit/s or less are input to a digital recording device recording digital signals having a data rate of n bit/s. The digital signals are subjected to format-conversion for the digital recording device to be recorded therein. Furthermore, signals having a data rate of n/i.sub.1 bit/s or less are subjected to format-conversion to be recorded i.sub.1 times in the digital recording device. In the case where the data rate of the digital signals to be input is n/j bit/s, the digital signals are subjected to format-conversion so that the amount of data capable of being recorded per unit time is decreased by i/j; thus, the digital signals are recorded for a long period of time under the condition that the data recording time is prolonged j times. Furthermore, when input data to be recorded on a magnetic tape at a normal data rate by using a magnetic head mounted on a rotary cylinder is recorded, the recording device of the present invention makes it possible to select a plurality of types of track angles generated by the rotation number of the cylinder, the tape traveling speed, and the like.
