摘要： A cooling jacket assembly for cooling the stator of an electric machine. The assembly includes an annular cooling jacket body comprising coaxial inner and outer cylindric shells, heat transfer fins in the annular space between the inner and outer shells defining coolant flow channels, and end caps connected to opposite ends of the inner and outer shells. Coolant flows through an inlet in one of the end caps and is directed through the flow channels along at least one serpentine path to an outlet. The serpentine path comprises a plurality of parallel sections extending axially of the cooling jacket body. In one aspect of the invention, each section of the serpentine path comprises a group of two or more flow channels defined by a plurality of adjacent fins.

A reinforcing rib, cast as an integral part of the frame, extends circumferentially across the lead channel inside the egress opening and stiffens the channel while also providing a portion of a continuous circumferential surface on the interior of the frame that engages around the electrical device secured in the frame.

摘要： An electric machine has a stator and a rotor. The rotor is arranged on a rotor shaft that can be rotated about an axis of rotation. The stator surrounds the rotor radially on the outside with respect to the axis of rotation. The stator is surrounded radially on the outside by a one-piece housing with respect to the axis of rotation. As viewed around the axis of rotation, the housing extends only over a partial angular range. As viewed around the axis of rotation, a remaining angular range, in which the stator is not surrounded by the housing, thus remains. In end regions located at the ends of the partial angular range, the housing has housing-side form-closure elements, which cause a form closure of the housing with the stator in interaction with stator-side form-closure elements.

A first projected portion of a connector is inserted in the inner groove portion via a first seal portion. A second projected portion of the connector is inserted in the outer groove portion via a second seal portion. The first seal portion and the second seal portion are formed of the same material and are interposed between a periphery of an opening of the case and the connector. The first seal portion in the inner groove portion is in contact with the first projected portion of the connector to water tightly seal an accommodation space formed in the case. The second seal portion in the outer groove portion is in contact with the second projected portion of the connector to restrict vibration of the connector.

The cover and the housing define an accommodation chamber that accommodates a motor driving circuit that drives the electric motor. The cover includes a metal shield that blocks electromagnetic noise, a resin outer insulator that is fixed to an outer side of the shield and includes an outer circumferential portion, and a resin inner insulator that is fixed to an inner side of the shield and includes an outer circumferential portion. The shield, the outer insulator, and the inner insulator are separate from one another and stacked together. The shield is held between the outer insulator and the inner insulator. The outer circumferential portion of the outer insulator is joined to the outer circumferential portion of the inner insulator.
