摘要： A method for production of a photo-structurable glass element is provided. The method includes the steps of: fixing a blank of photo-structurable glass at a first end; heating of a deformation zone of the blank; and drawing the blank. The glass includes Si4+, a crystal-agonist, a crystal-antagonist, and a pair of nucleating agents. The crystal-agonist is selected from the group consisting of Na+, K+, Li+, and any combinations thereof. The crystal-antagonist is selected from the group consisting of Al3+, B3+, Zn2+, Sr2+, Sb3+, and any combinations thereof. The pair of nucleating agents include cerium and an agent selected from the group consisting of silver, gold, copper, and any combinations thereof. The crystal-agonist has a molar proportion cat.-% in relation to a molar proportion of Si4+ that is at least 0.3 and at most 0.85.

摘要： This invention relates to using a production glass furnace to melt waste glass and other glass constituents thereby providing a radiant heat source within the furnace to efficiently gasify organic waste materials recovered from a variety of waste streams to thereby produce a synthesis gas (“Syngas”) that is comprised mostly of carbon monoxide, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide that can be further refined and sold as a high value fuel. The gasification of the organic waste within the production glass furnace has minimal impact on the composition of the glass melt thus allowing for the production of the same range of glass products as if no organic waste was added to the furnace.

摘要： Submerged combustion glass manufacturing systems include a melter having a floor, a roof, a wall structure connecting the floor and roof, and an exhaust passage through the roof. One or more submerged combustion burners are mounted in the floor and/or wall structure discharging combustion products under a level of material being melted in the melter and create turbulent conditions in the material. The melter exhausts through an exhaust structure connecting the exhaust passage with an exhaust stack. The exhaust structure includes a barrier defining an exhaust chamber having an interior surface, the exhaust chamber having a cross-sectional area greater than that of the exhaust stack but less than the melter. The barrier maintains temperature and pressure in the exhaust structure at values sufficient to substantially prevent condensation of exhaust material on the interior surface.

The molten material and bubbles are drawn through a bushing fluidly connected to a forehearth to produce a glass fiber comprising a plurality of interior regions substantially devoid of glass.
