The packages may be customized, functional packages that are designed to prevent accidental spillage or leakage of a flowable consumable product housed therein when the package is opened or during consumption of the product from the package. In a general embodiment, flexible packages are provided and include a body defining a cavity for housing a flowable product, a channel for dispensing the flowable product from the cavity, and a releasable seal that blocks the channel under the application of light pressure, such as occurs during opening the package, but unblocks the channel under heavier pressure, such as occurs during consumption of the product.

摘要： A medical liquid applicator system that includes an applicator grip assembly, a flexible reservoir and an applicator head. The applicator grip assembly is composed of a first section with a first distal end and a second section with a second distal end, a longitudinal axis, a front side, a back side, a predetermined grip length, a predetermined grip width, a fold axis separating the first section and the second section, the fold axis being perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and a fold-activated dispensing slit located on the fold axis. The flexible reservoir is joined to a back side of the applicator grip assembly and is in liquid communication with the fold-activated dispensing slit. The applicator head is joined to the front side of the applicator grip assembly at the fold axis and is in liquid communication with the dispensing slit. The applicator grip assembly is folded at the fold axis to bring the back side of at least a portion of the first distal end of the first section and the back side of at least a portion of the second distal end of the second section together to define a grip handle having the predetermined grip length and the predetermined grip width. Folding the applicator grip assembly ruptures the fold-activated dispensing slit thereby defining a dispensing opening and also applies pressure to the flexible reservoir element in liquid communication with the dispensing slit to urge flowable medical liquid through the dispensing opening and into the applicator head.

摘要： The invention is directed to fluid-containing pouches and to methods for forming fluid-containing pouches. In one embodiment, the invention is to a fluid-containing pouch, comprising first and second opposing sheets, and a fluid (e.g., a calibrant fluid, a reactant fluid or a wash fluid) disposed between the first and second opposing sheets. The first sheet and the second sheet have a substantially liquid and gas impermeable perimeter seal. The sheets may be sealed, for example, by one or more of heat crimping, pressure crimping, heat and pressure crimping, ultrasonic welding, metal-to-metal welding or laser welding. Fluid-containing pouches sealed according to the disclosed methods and apparatuses show substantially improvement in terms of reduced gas exchange, notably CO2 pressurization levels.

摘要： The present invention relates to a pouch pack having a pressure outlet formed at the time when a sealing region is thermally fused to therefore substantially reduce the amount of time required for the manufacturing process, with the pressure outlet being open precisely under pressure. A pouch pack having a pressure outlet according to the present invention comprises a main body which is formed of two opposedly facing sheets with a sealing region thermally fused in a hermetic manner by a heating pressure mold designed for thermally pressing a target sealing region and defines a storage space inside thereof; and a pressure outlet which is integrally formed on the sealing region of the main body and opens under pressure to discharge a content kept within the storage space. As a cavity is formed in a part of the heating pressure mold, only a corresponding region of the cavity experiences a reduced heating temperature and reduced pressure while the sealing region is being thermally fused, so that the pressure outlet and the sealing region can be formed at the same time. Alternatively, a recess is formed in a part of the heating pressure mold and a metallic material having a heat conductivity lower than that of the heating pressure mold is seated in the recess, so that only a corresponding part of the metallic material experiences a reduced heating temperature while the sealing region is being thermally fused so as to allow the pressure outlet and the sealing region to be formed at the same time.
