摘要： In one embodiment, the present invention relates to a method for thickening sludge carried along in waste water, wherein the waste water is subjected to a pretreatment reinforcing the flocculation and is subsequently introduced in the direction of gravity into a bath so as to separate the sludge from the water, in which the sludge particles descend under the action of gravity and are removed in the lower portion of the bath characterized in that the waste water, upon its introduction into the bath, is flowed against a baffle, by which the flow of the waste water in the bath is deflected.

The wastewater distributor includes a plurality of outlet openings and is moveable within the treatment tank and the traction mechanism is configured to move the wastewater distributor in a reversing manner between the first and second opposite edge regions of the treatment tank. The feed line is elastically deformable so as to allow a movement of the wastewater distributor in a direction of back and forth movement.

摘要： An extraction system for removing a particulate material (e.g., abrasive material, such as garnet) from a water jet tank includes a tank with a door movably coupled to the bottom end to seal the bottom end of the tank. The system also includes a pump operably coupled to the tank via one or more valves. An outflow line with an outflow opening coupled to the pump that can be placed in fluid communication with the water jet tank. The system also includes an inflow line with an inflow opening coupled to the tank. At least a portion of the inflow line is adjacent the outflow line so that the inflow opening and outflow opening are proximate each other. The pump is configured to pump water from the tank, once the tank has been filled with water, to the water jet tank via the outflow line to unsettle the particulate material in the water jet tank, said flow of water configured to draw a generally equal amount of water and particulate material into the tank via the inflow line in a closed-loop manner, without the particulate material passing through the pump.

摘要： Novel methods and apparatuses are disclosed for the treatment of wastewater to reduce, often associated, offensive odors. Irrigation of oxygenated liquid on top of a permeable cover effectively creates an aerobic treatment zone at the top of the lagoon whereby odorous gases being produced anaerobically below the cover are metabolized within this zone before being released to the atmosphere. This same system also serves to increase evaporation from the overall waste handling system therefore substantially reducing or eliminating the need for land application of treated wastewater.
