摘要： A pickup mechanism includes a paper feeding channel, a pickup roller assembly disposed in the paper feeding channel and projecting beyond a top of the paper feeding channel, a paper tray disposed to an upstream of the pickup roller assembly, and a guiding swing arm assembly. The guiding swing arm assembly includes two guiding swing arms mounted adjacent to and spaced from two opposite sides of the pickup roller assembly. Each guiding swing arm includes a pivoting shaft, a stopping block, and an extending arm connected between the pivoting shaft and the stopping block. The two stopping blocks of the two guiding swing arms are disposed between the pickup roller assembly and the paper tray for blocking paper. An axial direction of the pivoting shaft of each guiding swing arm is deviated from a center axis direction of the pickup roller assembly.

摘要： A scanning device includes an upper cover, and a separation module detachably and changeably assembled in the upper cover. A middle of a bottom surface of the upper cover is recessed in an upward direction to form an assembling groove. The separation module includes a fastening holder, a separation roller assembly received in the fastening holder, a torsion limiter and a sealing cover. The torsion limiter is engaged with the separation holder. The sealing cover is mounted under the fastening holder. Different separation modules detachably and changeably assembled in the assembling groove are capable of being equipped with different torsion limiters. When the scanning device scans papers of which grams are different, torsion values of the scanning device are capable of being adjusted by virtue of changing the different separation modules equipped with the different torsion limiters.

摘要： An image scanning method is applied in an image scanning device which includes an input tray and a paper feeding sensor. The method detects whether there are papers on the input tray in step one. If there are papers, step two is executed. Otherwise, the method ends and an error is reported. In step two, papers are separated and fed. Whether the papers contact the paper feeding sensor is detected in step three. The method executes step four if the papers contact the paper feeding sensor, and ends the method with an error message otherwise. In step four, the method scans and detects whether an image of a fed edge of each of the papers is abnormal. If the image is abnormal, the method ends and an error is reported. Otherwise, scanning continues.

The detecting mechanism detects a relative distance between two adjacent papers which successively pass through the detecting mechanism so as to control the picking mechanism to adjust transmission speed of the papers for achieving a fixed distance between two adjacent papers.

摘要： A feeding apparatus includes a pickup roller arranged to pick and feed a medium downstream along a conveying path, a separating roller arranged downstream to the pickup roller for advancing the medium downstream, a brake roller arranged opposite to the separating roller, and a pressing structure arranged opposite to the pickup roller and operable to swing toward or away from the pickup roller according to the rotating direction of the brake roller. When the brake roller rotates for feeding mediums downstream, the pressing structure moves toward the pickup roller and applies a normal force required for picking the medium. But when the brake roller stops rotating downstream because multiple mediums are fed between the brake roller and the separating roller, the pressing structure moves away from the pickup roller and stops applying normal force, so as to control the medium-picking process.
