摘要： The present invention provides a reflection-type laser projector (100) which projects modulated laser beams outputted from a laser projection unit (40), on a screen, wherein a reflector (112) as a constituent of the screen (110) has reflection characteristics of reflecting, among the incident light, only laser beams of three colors of red, blue, and green, which are projected from the laser projection unit (40) and light in the neighboring wavelength band, and transmitting light in other wavelength band, thereby preventing pictures on the screen (110) from becoming hard to be seen due to effects of indoor illumination or light from outdoors.

摘要： The wavelength tolerance of a frequency doubler is enhanced so as to perform stable operation. Further, with the use of this frequency doubler, a laser source can directly modulate a laser. A waveguide and a periodic domain inverted layer are formed on an LiTaO.sub.3 substrate of -C plate, and the waveguide is divided into a plurality of zones having different propagation constants. A fundamental wave inputted in the waveguide is converted into a harmonic wave in each of the zones, and is emitted as SHG light. Parts for modulating the phases of the harmonic waves produced in the respective zones are provided between the zones.

摘要： A wavelength conversion element is provided with a substrate including a nonlinear optical single crystal having a periodically poled structure, wherein a visible light transmittance of the substrate is 85% or higher when ultraviolet light is irradiated to the substrate. Further, a laser light having an average output of 1 W or more is outputted by shortening a wavelength of inputted laser light having a wavelength of 640 nm to 2000 nm. By improving visible light transmission characteristics when the ultraviolet light is irradiated in this way, a breakdown of crystal can be prevented and a stabilization of output characteristics at high output can be realized. As a result, an absorption of green light induced by ultraviolet light can also be suppressed and a saturation of output and the breakdown of crystal can be avoided.
