    • The present invention provides: a microcapsule composition for electrophoretic displays; a production process for the microcapsule composition for the electrophoretic displays; a production process for a sheet for the electrophoretic displays; and a handling method for microcapsules for the electrophoretic displays; wherein the microcapsule composition contains microcapsules and, when used for the electrophoretic displays, can make them as excellent as conventional in various performances (e.g. longtime stability of displaying, respondability of displaying, contrast, and number of times of display rewritability) and, particularly above all, can make the electrophoretic displays exhibit a very high performance as to the contrast. The present invention composition is a composition used for preparation of a coating liquid and comprises an aqueous medium and microcapsules for the electrophoretic displays, wherein the microcapsules include a shell and a dispersion that is capsuled in the shell, wherein the dispersion includes a solvent and electrophoretic fine particles that are dispersed in the solvent; with the composition being characterized by: being a product as obtained without involving the step of drying the microcapsules; and having a microcapsule content of 30 to 80 weight %.

    • A voice coil type linear motor with a cooling function. A closed magnetic circuit formed into the θ-shape, by an inner yoke provided between a pair of outer yokes made up of magnetic materials arranged in parallel with a longitudinal center axis in such a manner as to be in parallel with the pair of outer yokes. The outer yokes and side yokes are provided at both end portions of the inner yoke. Permanent magnets are provided on inner sides of the outer yokes and on outer sides of the inner yoke with polarities thereof which face opposite surfaces of the outer yoke.     • An infrared transparent glass ceramic article is useful for top plates of cooking stoves and has a black appearance but an infrared transmittance of about 80% or more for an infrared light of a wavelength 1,500 nm, and .beta.-quartz solid solution crystals substantially alone dispersed within glassy matrix without any other crystals. The article consists essentially, by weight, of 60-72% SiO.sub.2, 14-28% Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, 2.5-5.5% Li.sub.2 O, 0.1-0.9% MgO, 0.1-0.9% ZnO, 3-6% TiO.sub.2, 0.03-0.5% V.sub.2 O.sub.5, 0.1-1% Na.sub.2 O, 0-1% K.sub.2 O, 0-2% CaO, 0-2% BaO, 0-2% PbO, 0-2% As.sub.2 O.sub.3, 0-3% ZrO.sub.2, and 0-3% P.sub.d O.sub.5. The article is produced by forming a desired shape of glass article having the ingredients, heating the glass article at a temperature of 650.degree.-800.degree. C. to nucleate in the glass, heating the glass article at a temperature of 800.degree.-950.degree. C. to thereby precipitate .beta.-quartz solid solution crystals alone in the glass, and cooling the article to the room temperature.
