    • A pressure sensor includes: an airtight case equipped with first and second pressure input orifices provided respectively on opposing first and second wall surfaces; a cylindrical first bellows fixed on the first wall surface at one end and equipped with a shaft hole communicating with the first pressure input orifice; a cylindrical second bellows fixed on the second wall surface at one end; equipped with a shaft hole communicating with the second pressure input orifice and arranged in series with the first bellows; a resonator-adhering pedestal arranged and fixed between other ends of the first and second bellows; a lamellar piezoelectric resonator supported by the resonator-adhering pedestal, and an oscillation circuit electrically connected to an electrode pattern of the piezoelectric resonator. The piezoelectric resonator is fixed on the second wall surface at one end and fixed on the resonator-adhering pedestal at the other end; a piezoelectric reinforcement plate is fixed between the second wall surface and the resonator-adhering pedestal at a position across the second bellows from the piezoelectric resonator. An inner wall of the airtight case is joined to the resonator-adhering pedestal by a resilient reinforcement member.

    • In an ultrathin piezoelectric resonator including an ultrathin vibratory portion and thick frame-like marginal portion formed integrally therewith for supporting it around, an electrode and an electrode lead pattern extending therefrom are provided on one surface of the vibratory portion and an electrode is provided on the other surface of the vibratory portion in an area except at least an area corresponding to the electrode lead pattern, thereby preventing that a capacitor is formed between the electrode and the electrode pattern deposited on the opposite surfaces of the vibratory portion and increases the parallel capacitance of the resonator. The electrode lead pattern is formed narrow to reduce an ohmic loss and suppress a spurious resonance. A through hole is made in the frame-like marginal portion and extends therethrough in its thickwise direction. By electrically connecting via the through hole an electrode lead portion on one surface of the frame-like marginal portion and a terminal pad on the other surface thereof, it is possible to ensure good conduction between a conductive film on the bottom of a resonator package and the electrode on the said other surface of the vibratory portion on the side where a cavity is provided.

    • In a piezoelectric resonator having an ultrathin vibratory portion formed by a cavity made in a piezoelectric block and a thick frame-like rib formed integrally with said vibratory portion and surrounding it, an excess adhesive receiving groove or the like is cut in one marginal portion of the frame-like rib between an adhesive coated region. The resonator is fixedly housed in a package by use of an adhesive coated on one marginal portion of the frame-like rib along the z-axis direction, or by means of elastic pawls without using the adhesive. In this case, one marginal portion of the frame-like rib on the opposite side from a pad deposited on one side of the piezoelectric resonator is bonded to the bottom of the package. With such a structure, it is possible to prevent the adhesive from flowing into the cavity to cause variations in the resonance frequency of the piezoelectric resonator, to reduce the scatter of the temperature-frequency characteristic of a piezoelectric device using the resonator housed in a package during mass production, and to increase the bond strength of wire bonding for electrical connection of the piezoelectric resonator incorporated in the package.
