    • A vehicle wheel information obtaining apparatus for obtaining wheel information relating to a wheel of a vehicle. The apparatus includes: (a) a wheel state detector which detects a state of the wheel; (b) a transmitter which is provided on the wheel and which transmits a wheel data set containing a wheel state data representing the detected state of the wheel and a wheel identification data identifying the wheel; (c) a receiver which is provided on a vehicle body and which receives the wheel data set transmitted by the transmitter; (d) a data processor which processes the wheel data set received by the receiver; and (e) a communication-intensity reducing device which reduces a transmission strength of the transmitter or/and a reception sensitivity of the receiver, such that the transmission strength or/and the reception sensitivity is lower when the data processor is in an identification-data registering mode, than when the data processor is in a wheel-state data obtaining mode.

    • A floating point multiply-add operating device in which a critical path in an addition process of continuous multiply-add operations of floating point numbers is shortened to improve operation efficiency is disclosed. This operating device includes: an exponent operating section for comparing an exponent of a floating point number of an operation result of a preceding multiply-add operation n with an exponent of a multiplication result of a subsequent multiply-add operation (n+1), and calculating an alignment shift count of the multiply-add operation (n+1) by the comparison result; and a mantissa operating section for aligning one mantissa of mantissas of two operands according to the alignment shift count inputted from the exponent operating section, calculating a sum of an aligned mantissa of the operand and the mantissa of the other operand, and normalizing a calculated addition result of the mantissas as needed, thereby calculating a mantissa of the multiply-add operation (n+1). The alignment shift count is obtained by starting calculation of an alignment shift count of the subsequent multiply-add operation (n+1) before normalization of the preceding multiply-add operation n is finished.

    • The present invention provides an organic light emitting device which can reduce the angle dependency of the emission brightness and the emission color, and has a small change in the emission brightness and the emission color with respect to film thickness fluctuations, and can increase use efficiency of the light. The organic light emitting device of the present invention has a plurality of emission layers 3 between an anode 1 and a cathode 2, and the emission layers 3 are separated from each other by an equipotential surface forming layer 4 or a charge generating layer 4. The feature of the present invention resides in that the organic light emitting device has, at least either inside or outside the device, a light scattering means 5 for scattering light emitted from the emission layers 3. The organic light emitting device can reduce the angle dependency of the emission brightness and the emission color by outputting the light emitted from the emission layers in a condition where the light is scattered by the light scattering means.
