摘要： An irrigation sprinkler has a riser assembly that includes a rotatably mounted nozzle turret, a secondary nozzle holder removably mounted on the nozzle turret, and a turbine. A drive assembly is mounted in the riser assembly and couples the turbine and the nozzle turret so that pressurized water entering a lower end of the riser assembly will cause the nozzle turret to rotate. The nozzle turret has a primary nozzle and the secondary nozzle holder has at least one secondary nozzle.

摘要： An irrigation sprinkler includes a riser and a nozzle mounted at an upper end of the riser for rotation and configured with a high flow rate port and a low flow rate port that can each emit a stream of water from a high flow rate nozzle port and a low flow rate nozzle port. The sprinkler further includes a diverter valve that can intermittently shift the flow of water between the high flow rate port and the low flow rate port as the nozzle rotates. The sprinkler also includes a gear train reduction mounted in the riser and coupled to rotate the nozzle. A turbine is coupled to an input shaft of the gear train reduction and is rotatable by water flowing through the riser.

摘要： A frusto-conical strainer is mounted on the lower end of a pop-up riser for filtering out debris from water entering the lower inlet end of a surrounding outer housing to prevent clogging of the nozzle orifice or damage to mechanical components within a sprinkler. A cylindrical scrubber including a circumferential array of resilient arms is anchored at the lower inlet end of the outer housing. Wiper blades on the upper ends of the arms press against the outer surface of the strainer to scrape debris and algae therefrom as the riser extends and retracts. The strainer may have finer and coarser mesh sections for different levels of filtering in a sprinkler having multiple internal water flow paths. A plurality of circumferentially spaced projections on the strainer deflect past a plurality of circumferentially spaced ribs formed on the interior wall of the outer housing to provide a riser ratchet mechanism.
