    • An alternating current generator for a car comprises the first centrifugal fan which is fixed to one end of the rotor and has a diameter smaller than that of the rotor, the first ventilating hole for feeding a coolant air which is formed in the end portion in the axial direction of the bracket in the side of the centrifugal fan, the second ventilating hole for discharging the coolant air which is formed in the cylindrical portion of the bracket in which the first ventilating hole is formed, the second centrifugal fan which is fixed to the other end of the rotor and has a diameter larger than that of the rotor, the third ventilating hole for feeding a coolant air which is formed in the end in the axial direction of the other bracket and the fourth ventilating hole for discharging a coolant air which is formed in the cylindrical portion of the other bracket.

    • A rotating electric machine for vehicles is capable of improving a cooling performance of switching elements forming an inverter module, and small-sizing the entire rotating electric machine. The rotating electric machine includes: a stator; a rotor, a cooling fan; a front bracket and a rear bracket; and a cover; and in which a pair of switching elements are disposed axially adjacent to each other between the rear bracket and the cover; a ventilation hole for sucking an outside air is formed on an axial wall of the cover; and by rotation of the cooling fan, the outside air flows from the ventilation hole with respect to the switching elements, and goes through a suction port and is discharged through a discharge port.

    • [Problem] In a vehicular rotating electrical machine apparatus mounted in an electric vehicle or a hybrid electric vehicle, a rotating electrical machine apparatus in which a rotating electrical machine and an inverter unit to control the rotating electrical machine are integrated is miniaturized, and its torque characteristic and efficiency are improved.[Means for Resolution] Since an inverter unit 4 is cooled by cooling air forcibly formed by a cooling fan 28, the inverter unit 4 is efficiently cooled. Then, heat radiating fins 401a, 402a and 403a of heat sinks 401, 402 and 403 can be miniaturized, and consequently, the inverter unit 4 is miniaturized, and mountability of the inverter unit 4 to a rear bracket 19 is improved. Further, since the inverter unit 4 and a rotating electrical machine 2 are cooled by the cooling air formed by the cooling fan 28, the cooling medium of the inverter unit 4 is used also as the cooling medium (cooling air) of the rotating electrical machine 2, and a cooling structure is simplified.
