    • A unified mechanism of scene description includes layering and cross-referencing relationships. The scene description specifies components using one or more layers. A layer includes an opinion of value for one or more attributes of one or more components. A layer can be sparsely populated with opinions of attribute values for only portions of components' attributes. Layers express opinions of value for an attribute using the semantic structure associated with the attribute. The scene description organizes layers in a layer hierarchy, which determines a layer stacking order. The layer stacking order specifies the compositing of opinions of attribute values to determine the complete authored state of the component. The layer stacking order enables attributes of components to be selectively overridden without disturbing other attribute values. Cross-referencing relationships enable encapsulation and reuse of components. Cross-referencing relationships can encapsulate components defined by one or more layers.

    • A prone cart for carrying a patient has a frame, a pair of independently powered and suspended drive wheels located centrally off the frame and an articuable body support having relatively moveable tray, chest support, abdominal support and leg support sections connected end to end for carrying a patient prone between a lowered position where the patient lies in a horizontal orientation to a raised position where the patient's head and chest are elevated with respect to the patient's abdomen and legs. Linkage mechanisms move the sections between the raised and lowered positions. A pair of independently suspended drive wheels mounted centrally of the frame is controllable so that each may each rotate independently in clockwise or counterclockwise sense so that the cart may be maneuvered in confined spaces with a zero turning radius.

    • A debarking chain having passing links; the passing links being substantially rounded in order to permit the passing links to pass through adjacent links such that the orientation of the passing link relative to its adjacent links can change at random in order to randomly distribute the wear and stress from the impact of adjacent or next to adjacent links on the passing links so that the overall wear life of the present debarking chain is extended over similar chain with elongated, oblong links of the prior art. The invention also includes a debarking drum having a plurality of debarking chains having at least one, preferably a plurality of passing links, as well as a debarking device having such a debarking drum. The debarking device preferably includes a chipping device and a method of using the same.

    • A method of forwarding calls directed to a cellular phone to a target phone number based on time-based and location-based trigger events. A call forward profile associated with the cellular phone is defined and stored in memory in the cellular phone, wherein the profile includes call forward criteria and the target phone number. Call forward criteria includes time-based and location-based trigger events. Thereafter, the cellular phone periodically determines the current time and its location and, if the cellular phone determines that the time-based and location-based trigger events for a particular profile are both satisfied, the cellular phone notifies the cellular provider associated with the phone to forward later-received calls to the target number using the cellular provider's own activation and deactivation codes. Notification by the cellular phone to the cellular provider may be set to automatic or only after a prompt to the cellular phone user.

    • A method for manufacturing end products such as wound dressings, surgical dressing, fixation wafers for prostheses, ostomy wafers, shoe inner-soles, and other laminated and contoured devices using a contouring and laminating station, a delaminating station, a driving station and a cutting station. A first outer layer having a backing film protected by a support layer is attached to a subject layer having predetermined malleable properties on one surface of the adhesive material. A second outer layer is attached on an opposing surface of the subject layer. As the layers are attached, the subject layer is contoured at the contouring and laminating station to produce a first intermediate product. The support layer is removed to produce a second intermediate product at a delaminating station. The second intermediate product is driven by the driving station to the cutting station to be cut into the end products.
