摘要： A method of producing a polyolefin. An olefin is polymerized in the presence of a catalyst containing (A) a catalyst component containing magnesium, titanium, halogen and an electron donor, (B) an organoaluminum compound and (C) an external electron donor which is an ether compound (C.sup.1) of the formula [1a]: ##STR1## or formula [1b]: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.4 and R.sup.7 are saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 7 carbon atoms; R.sup.3 and R.sup.6 are a hydrogen atom or a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 7 carbons and R.sup.5 is a divalent aliphatic hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 7 carbon atoms. The catalyst used in the polymerization may also contain a carboxylate, organosilicon compound and/or an azo compound.

摘要： A diamond-coated body is prepared by coating a diamond film on the surface of a sintered body by means of vapor phase synthesis, the sintered body being so prepared by subjecting a sintered body prepared from ceramics based on silicon nitride to heat treatment at the temperature of 1,400.degree. C. to 1,700.degree. C. as to give a crystalline intergranular phase. The resulting diamond-coated body has excellent adhesion between the diamond film and the substrate and it is appropriately employed for cutting tools and so on because, when applied to the cutting tools, they can be used for cutting for a long period of time.

摘要： An interrupting layer of inorganic powder other than diamond is formed on the surface of a substrate and a surface of the interrupting layer is contacted with excited raw material gases containing a carbon source, under conditions suited to depositing of diamond on the interrupting layer. The diamond which is synthesized is separated from the substrate. The use of the interrupting layer, composed of the inorganic fine powders, allows ready separation of the diamond from the substrate and the diamond separated is suitable for diaphragms for speakers, heat conductive plates, cutting tools, semiconductors, etc. by appropriately choosing shapes of the substrate. Further, the resulting diamond film can be pulverized, thereby yielding diamond powders which are useful for abrasive tools, cutting tools, etc.

摘要： A food packaging container having a flanged container body of a laminate sheet which comprises a layer of aluminum foil and at leasat one thermoplastic resin layer joined to one surface of the foil layer. The container body is prepared by deep-drawing the laminate sheet with the resin layer inside. The aluminum foil is 40-200 .mu.m in thickness, 9.0-25.0 kgf/mm.sup.2 in tensile strength, 2.5-9.5 kgf/mm.sup.2 in proof stress, 10 to 40% in elongation and up to 7% in earing ratio. The resin layer comprises a thermoplastic resin 100-500 .mu.m in thicknes, 0.92-1.08 in the ratio of modulus of elasticity in tension in the machine directon (MD) to that in the transverse direction (TD), 0.60-1.40 in the MD/TD ratio of elongation and 0.40-1.60 in the MD/TD ratio of breaking strength.
