    • A centrifugal fan with a multistage impeller includes a hub and a multistage impeller having at least two stages of blade assemblies. The hub has a top section and a circumferential section extending from the top section. At least one extension section outward extends from the circumferential section. The multistage impeller is connected with one end of the extension section. The multistage impeller includes a first-stage blade assembly and a second-stage blade assembly. The second-stage blade assembly has a diameter larger than that of the first-stage blade assembly. The centrifugal fan can be installed in an application environment with limited space without being interfered with by peripheral parts. Also, the centrifugal fan is able to provide an optimal flow and wind pressure at the same rotational speed to lower the load on the motor and reduce the noise.

    • A turbo vacuum pump of the present invention includes a suction part for sucking gas in an axial direction; a discharge section in which rotating impellers and stationary impellers are alternately arranged; a rotating shaft for rotating the rotating impellers; and a turbine impeller part fixed to the suction side end face of the rotating shaft. The rotating impellers include one or more turbine impellers for discharging the sucked gas in the axial direction, and one or more centrifugal impellers, located downstream of the one or more turbine impellers, for further discharging the discharged gas by a centrifugal drag effect. The one or more centrifugal impellers are fixed to the rotating shaft passing therethrough. The one or more turbine impellers are included in the turbine impeller part.

    • The impeller (1) is seated with its impeller hub (3) fixed for rotation on a shaft (4). The drive-side edges of the impeller (1), turn with slight clearance (a), over a pump-housing rear wall (5). The latter forms a labyrinth slot 6) with the impeller (1). The labyrinth slot (6) connects the pump chamber (2') with a hub chamber (7). Within the hub chamber (7), a coaxial vane wheel is connected, fixed for rotation, with the impeller (1) in order to impart a stronger rotary movement to the liquid in the hub chamber (7) and centrifuge it. The hub chamber (7) is provided with a peripheral opening (12) for the emergence of the liquid. The air collecting in the region of the shaft (4) escapes through a slot (10) which is formed by the hub housing wall (20) and the shaft (4). The peripheral opening (12) is arranged in the hub-housing wall (20) and developed as a drive nozzle; it debouches into a space (11) adjoining the hub chamber (7) and connected with it by the slot (10) and is directed against the diffuser pipe (13) and forms a liquid jet pump (12, 13) through which the liquid coming from the hub chamber (7) flows.

    • A high speed fuel pump for a gas turnbine engine has a positively-driven shroud (28) positioned between a main impeller (14) and the wall of a pumping cavity (12) to reduce impeller drag. The shroud is formed by a first disc (30) having a boost impeller (36) connected to its central hub portion 30a and a second disc (32) having a gear (32b) carried by its central hub portion (32a). The main drive shaft assembly (24), to which the main impeller is connected, carries a gear (64) which meshes with gear (62) mounted upon a shaft (58). The shaft (58) also carries a gear (56) which meshes with the gear 32b. The gears are sized so that the shroud is driven at one-half the speed of the main impeller in order to maximize impeller drag reduction and enhance pumping capability when severe inlet conditions are present at the pump inlet (10).
