The supporting plate defines a through hole in the engaging surface. The supporting plate is configured for supporting the substrate on the engaging surface of the engaging portion. The clamping units are configured for clamping the substrate on the supporting plate such that the engaging surface of the engaging portion engaging surface is substantially coplanar with the first surface of the substrate.

In another aspect, a method is provided that includes twisting lobes of a spider in a first direction toward initial target positions using a machine, permitting the lobes to twist in a second direction toward free state positions, and twisting one or more of the lobes using the machine in response to the one or more lobes having free state positions different than final target positions of the lobes.

The positioning device and a tube are located on two ends of the slide member. The control device includes a pin, a ring-shaped member and a knob. The pin is pivotably connected with the knob. The tube includes an engaging section and a receiving section. The receiving section has a positioning pin and a spring which biases the positioning pin so as to move the positioning pin axially. The knob having a pin hole defined in an underside thereof and can be securely positioned by inserting the insertion member into the pin hole. The knob includes a release button which is connected with a bolt. When pressing the release button, the bolt moves the insertion member which releases the knob.

摘要： A bar clamp with adjustable jaw pads for clamping and for spreading work pieces includes a main housing having a bar opening for extending a bar therethrough, and a bar advancing mechanism with a bar gripping member in proximity to the bar opening. There is an elongated slide bar extending through the bar opening, and a handle and trigger connected to the main housing wherein the trigger is connected to the bar advancing mechanism such that activation of the trigger causes advancement of the bar through the main housing. It also includes a first jaw base connected to the main housing and extending upwardly therefrom. A first jaw pad is rotatably connected to the first jaw base, so as to be rotatable in at least two planes, to adjust angles between the elongated slide bar and the first jaw pad. A separate, second jaw base is connected to the elongated slide bar. There is a second jaw pad rotatably connected to the second jaw base, so as to adjust an angle between the elongated slide bar and the second jaw pad. The second jaw pad is rotatable in at least one plane, preferably two and in some embodiments, three planes.

Using an optional gasket, the fixture functions as a plumbing adaptor with the damaged pipe at one joint, and a standard plumbing flange at another joint. Because of its rigid mechanical connection to the damaged pipe, a clamp of similar manufacture can also provide a solid platform for machine tools, allowing for reliable, precise cuts in damaged pipe or other devices, using a remote-controlled milling machine. The custom clamps are manufactured using techniques of digital object-capture and computer-controlled metal-working. Methods are discussed which can help to determine the exact shape of the surface to be sealed, and to manufacture and install the clamps and gaskets.
