    • A remote control lock structure. The lock structure includes a receiving box, a locking member, a transmission mechanism, an electric circuit element and a cover. The locking member is placed in the receiving space aligned with a screw hole of a positioning block with a round hole on the receiving box. An axle rod is extended into and out of the round hole, and one end of the axle rod is connected to a main gearing wheel of the transmission mechanism. The main gearing wheel is connected at its lateral sides with the two power transmission wheels, and two power motors are connected with the electric circuit element which provides electric power to activate one of the power motors, thereby one of the two power transmission wheels and the main gearing wheel are driven to rotate. The axle rod further drives the locking rod to rotate to make the latching rod on the front end of the locking rod extend out and retract in between the screw hole and the round hole.

    • The system for monitoring and dispensing medical items which are dispensed for administration to patients includes a data terminal (76, 338) which is connected through a network (82, 328) to at least one remote computer (84, 324) having a processor and a data store. The system also includes a reading device (348) which is connected to the network. A user of the data terminal or the reading device is enabled to select a patient for whom medical items will be used, and responsive to a request to dispense items the requested items are dispensed from dispensing devices (96, 100, 344, 346, 450, 527) connected to the data terminal. A report generating device (384) generates reports (388) which include machine readable indicia corresponding to patients and/or medical items. Users may select patients and dispense medications by reading the indicia from the reports using the reading device. Certain storage locations are also labeled with machine readable indicia which may be read to indicate the taking of items therefrom as well as to indicate inventory status information. One such dispensing device in the system is a cabinet (550). The cabinet may be configured with various configurations of drawers or shelves by supporting connecting members in apertures which extend in the interior walls of the cabinet.

    • An electronically-driven lock (1) includes an inner lock unit (2), an outer lock unit (5), a bolt assembly (3) having a latch, and a transmission shaft (4) extending through the bolt assembly to actuate the latch. The inner lock unit includes a base (80), a driving unit (60), a clutch (50), a knob (30), and a top cover (20) covering the base. The driving unit includes a gear plate (64). The gear plate includes a pair of driving protrusions (641). The knob has a mating shaft (32) fittingly receiving the transmission shaft therein. The clutch includes a pair of driven protrusions (541), and defines a generally rectangular mating slot (52) fittingly receiving the mating shaft therethrough. The driving protrusions engage the driven protrusions to rotate the clutch. The clutch accordingly rotates the mating shaft of the knob to rotate the transmission shaft. Thus the latch can be actuated to locked position or unlocked.

    • The present invention relates to a lock arrangement having a lock (14) and including a first locking means (52) adapted to operate said lock to lock and unlock said lock and a second locking means (68) including a member (32) movable between a first and a second position wherein when said member (32) is in the first position the lock is locked and when in said second position the lock is unlocked. Generally the first locking means (52) is key operated and the second locking means (68) is driven by an electric motor(72). The first locking means (52) can operate said lock independently of said member (32) and regardless of its position and when used to lock or unlock the lock can decouple through a clutch mechanism (80) the second activation means (68) form controlling the lock.

    • In an electric door lock, a spindle with a manually operable rotary knob is connected operably to a dead bolt, and has a spindle coupling plate sleeved non-rotatably thereon, and a gear plate unit sleeved rotatably thereon. The spindle coupling plate is provided with a ball member which is biased to project from the spindle coupling plate and engage one of a plurality of angularly displaced ball recesses formed in the gear plate unit. An electric driving motor has a transmission shaft engaging the gear plate unit. The ball member disengages the spindle coupling plate from the gear plate unit when the rotary knob is operated to rotate the spindle and the spindle coupling plate. The motor is operable to rotate the gear plate unit which rotates the spindle coupling plate by virtue of the engagement between the ball member and the ball recesses, thereby resulting in co-rotation of the spindle.
