摘要： Apparatus and method for extending the life of a booster valve in an automatic transmission. The booster valve commonly resides in the pump stator body and is modulated by reverse oil pressure and pressure control solenoid pressure signals. Pressure signals from the reverse oil pressure and the pressure control solenoid force a booster valve piston towards a pressure regulator valve piston also generally residing in the pump stator body. The booster valve piston slides inside a booster valve sleeve, and over time, the booster valve sleeve wears and the performance of the booster valve degrades or fails. The present invention replaces an original inner booster valve spring with a longer (or in some cases shorter) replacement booster valve spring to shift the operating range of the booster valve piston to an unworn portion of the booster valve sleeve to extend the life of the booster valve.

摘要： A printed circuit board defective area transplant repair method in which printed circuit boards that are determined to be defective undergo a series of reworking procedures comprised of plotting the printed circuit board area block plan, selecting the printed circuit boards, cutting out the area blocks, cutting the selected area blocks, applying the adhesive and fitting area blocks, adjusting the area block alignment, roller tamping the plastic band, curing the adhesive, and tearing off the plastic band. Following the reworking operations, defective printed circuit boards are restored into a good products capable of continuous use such that printed circuit board fabrication and production is even more economical and environmentally protective and, furthermore, printed circuit board manufacturing reaches maximum utilization rates, thereby effectively increasing practical production value.

摘要： A method and apparatus for efficiently repairing or reworking a printed circuit board having a solder ball grid array thereon efficiently and at minimum cost includes the steps of drilling out a plated-through hole to sever electrical connections between a ball grid array pad on one surface of the printed circuit board and internal circuits and circuits on an opposite surface of the printed circuit board; inserting a pin having an insulated sleeve surrounding a portion thereof into the drilled-out hole, the pin having attached to one end a wire for attachment to the ball grid array on one surface of the printed circuit board and a post at the other end of the pin for attachment of a wire to the post; the pin having a stop along its length to control vertical positioning of the pin in the drilled-out hole, the pin referred to as a via replacement (VR) pin. Alternately, after the plated through hole is drilled out, an insulated wire may be inserted into the hole with insulation removed from the length of the wire which extends beyond one surface of the printed circuit board. The bare length of wire is bent parallel to the surface of the printed circuit board and attached thereto by a solder reflow process. In a dog bone configuration, the wire is formed around a pad on the surface of the printed circuit board which receives the solder ball.

摘要： A tubular upset extension apparatus which prolongs the usefulness of upsetted tubing joints used in drilling oil, gas and water well bore holes. The upset extension apparatus is fitted onto hollow bore tubing having shortened and specially threaded box and pin joints and a beveled peripheral shoulder at the inner terminal of the threads. The upset extension apparatus likewise has a hollow bore and specially threaded male and female ends which are rotatably engagable with the shortened tubing upsets. An exterior, non-bore penetrating circumferential groove is defined by the point of intersection of the shoulders of the upset extension and the shortened tubing upset. The circumferential groove receives a cosmetic weld, non-thread and non-bore penetrating weld which rigidly secures the upset extension to the shortened upset and maintains the internal and external integrity of the engaged sections.
