    • The invention relates to a road-milling machine which has a ladder 11 to allow the driver's position 7 of the civil engineering machine to be climbed to easily. The ladder is mounted on one 1B of the two longitudinal sides of the frame 1 of the machine to be pivotable about an axis of pivot 27 extending substantially at right angles to the direction of travel. The ladder can thus be folded upwards to widen the working range of the machine. However, should the ladder not be in a state where it is folded upwards while the machine is being used to do work, the ladder cannot be damaged against obstacles which suddenly make an appearance in the working range. Should the ladder hit against an obstacle, the ladder is able to move out of the way of the obstacle by pivoting out of the vertical position in the opposite direction to the direction of travel. A further advantage of the ladder lies in the fact that the ladder can easily be folded upwards or downwards not only from the ground but also from the driver's position.

    • An aerial ladder roller assembly to improve the function of the ladder during extension and retraction of sections of a multiple-section aerial ladder. One embodiment has a plurality of aligned apertures for rotatably mounting and a roller that is rotatably mounted in a housing. The housing has a roller pad and an aperture through which a roller extends. The housing is adapted for pivotal mounting at a point approximately central to the length of the axis. A roller is rotatably mounted in the housing on each side of the pivotal mounting point. A pair of rollers is rotatably mounted in the housing on each side of the pivotal mounting point. Also provided is a multiple-section ladder, having at least two nested sections with a housing having at least one roller is rotatably and pivotally mounted extending through an aperture. The slide plate of the second section juxtaposes the roller assembly.

    • An extension ladder is pivotably mounted on a trailer towed by a motor vehicle. A hydraulic lift elevates the ladder after multiple side stabilization arms have been deployed outwardly from the trailer frame. Hydraulic jacks at the ends of the stabilization arms prevent the trailer from tipping. A rear upwardly directed frame has a pair of tie-down brackets to hold the ladder in place when being moved. The ladder base pivots on a U-shaped bracket so it can be raised or turned as needed. A brace attached to the ladder at one end and to a brace support at another end supports the ladder lifted to an elevated position by a hydraulic jack.

    • The present invention teaches a boat trailer ladder which may be easily secured to and moved along the trailer rails. A hook is dimensioned and configured to engage standard boat trailer rails. An A-frame ladder provides steps from an approximately the level of the trailer rails, or in alternative embodiments from approximately ground level, up for a distance above the trailer rails. The extra elevation gained by a user of ordinary size standing on an upper step is sufficient to allow them to reach the top surfaces of the boat.

    • The invention is a loading system, which is a combination adjustable height stairway and a landing platform at one end that can be elevated to the level of the aircraft loading door and a lifting portion for loading articles to and from the landing platform. Both the lifting portion and the adjustable height stairway are side by side and are adapted to move in unison to and from the aircraft and further adapted to independently elevate or descend.
