    • A brake light control device that generates a braking force, and is used with a brake device which can control the braking force according to a signal from a brake control unit regardless of the operation of a brake operator includes: a brake light switch that is inserted and arranged into an electrical connection path between a power supply and a brake light, and is opened and closed together with the operation of the brake operator; and a switching switch that is opened and closed in response to braking force control. The brake light control device further includes: a blinking switch that is connected in parallel to the switching switch; and a control unit that, when the brake light is required to be blinked, is configured to keep the switching switch in an OFF state, and blinks the brake light by repeatedly switching on and off the blinking switch.

    • A control method of a brake lamp and a center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) of a vehicle. If the vehicle is not braking, both lamps are turned off. If the vehicle is braking, the method includes: receiving data on an operating state of the vehicle; determining a degree of danger based on the data; and operating the lamps based on the degree of danger. Operating the lamps includes: if the degree of danger is high, flashing the brake lamp quickly with high brightness, and flashing the CHMSL; if the degree of danger is medium, flashing the brake lamp slowly with high brightness, and turning on the CHMSL; and if the degree of danger is low, turning on both lamps. The data include an anti-lock brake operating state, deceleration of the vehicle, lateral acceleration of the vehicle, speed of the vehicle, and/or distance to a front obstacle.

    • An anti-collision safety system for a vehicle includes a microprocessor which receives one or more inputs and controls an output of at least one indicator or signaling device in response to the inputs. The microprocessor may be continuously powered or energized when the vehicle is in use, such that the indicator may be modulated in situations when the brake pedal of the vehicle is not applied. Preferably, a proximity sensing device may be provided to detect objects exteriorly of the vehicle. Preferably, an accelerometer may also be included to provide a deceleration signal to the microprocessor. The microprocessor may modulate the indicator independent of actuation of the brake pedal by a driver of the vehicle.

    • An intelligent input push rod assembly for applying an input force from a brake pedal to a power booster of a brake system. The input push rod assembly includes a sensor that is capable of generating an electrical output having a magnitude that varies with the amount of force applied to the input push rod by the brake pedal. Preferably, the sensor generates an output voltage signal that is generally proportional to the input force applied to the input push rod. A shunt is provided so that springs associated with the sensor operate in a generally linear force-deflection range of the springs. The output signal generated by the sensor is applied to a brake light control system that is supported by the input push rod assembly. The brake light control system uses the signal generated by the sensor to determine whether the vehicle brake lights should be illuminated and also to cause direct illumination of the brake lights during a braking operation.
